Description

The 10W Laser Module is equipped with the most cutting-edge laser beam splitters, effecting a power leap from 5W to 10W. This means you can now play with a wider variety of materials and hammer out more projects. Here is a comparison between 1.6W and 10W laser, taking 1.5 mm-thick basswood engraving and cutting as an example With the Fast-axis Collimating (FAC) lenses embedded in the two laser diodes, the module first compresses the laser spot of each laser diodes. Then it combines the laser beams of the two laser diodes using the beam combining technology, resulting in a higher output power and an ultra-fine laser focus (0.05 mm × 0.2 mm), which allows for higher energy density. Smaller laser focus and higher power deliver high-quality laser works with impeccable details The unique wind channel inside the 10W Laser Module provides excellent wind pressure, blowing the fumes away as the laser beam cuts into the material, sending the fumes directly into the grids of the Laser Engraving and Cutting Platform, which then get channeled out, reducing their interference on laser machining. No more manual material measuring. Place your material on the platform, and the module will calculate it for you. Thanks to the triangulation technique, the module is able to measure the thickness of your material by obtaining a few sets of data on the camera and light emitter. It will then adjust itself in Z orientation so that the focal point falls right on the material surface. You can finish focusing in a few seconds. With the upgraded camera capture process, the wide-angle HD camera captures in one take your material and lets you get an instant preview in Luban of your laser job on the material. Checking the work area is now completely hassle-free. Using Snapmaker Luban, you can polish your basic skills and master more sophisticated tricks, from simple image transform to setting the right parameters for varying materials, and slicing 3D models into laser cuttable vectors. To protect the user and any bystanders, we included a gyro sensor in the module, which makes sure that no laser beam comes out if the module is incorrectly installed or deviates from its designated position. Prolonged exposure to high temperature will reduce the lifespan of the laser diode. The 10W Laser Module has two separate blowing systems for its PCBA and its laser diode to make sure the diode is properly cooled off whenever you use it. Under proper use, the lifespan can be as long as 8,000–10,000 hours . The module stops working automatically whenever its temperature sensor detects a higher than normal (one that exceeds 55℃/131℉) working temperature. Once the temperature falls back into the normal range, you can resume your job on the Touchscreen. • Works great
Been getting into laser cutting and etching. Etched slate like it was nothing. And does a great job with glass. Having some issues with some wood board cuts… default MDF cut settings for 8mm didn’t even get half way through a 6.7mm MDF board, but I had a feeling that I would have to change the settings to get it to work. ... show more

  • Fantastic, but read the contents before you order!
The actual laser is amazing, just make sure you order the baseplate! I didn’t realize the laser plate was not included in the purchase, had I read carefully I would’ve ordered it as well!

  • Great addition
Definitely a nice upgrade from the 1.6W laser module. Cuts are cleaner and WAY fast. Best purchase ever! Camera feature is useful, but resolution could be better.

  • It’s perfect
I’m not sure what others where expecting but for me this is win I will say luban has its ups and downs a lot of downs but if you do your homework there are other programs other then luban. Anyways I thinks it’s amazing I’ve had no problems with my unit. I’m not speaking as if I’m expert just on what I have experienced. ... show more

  • Do not waste your money
This 10 watt laser head is really no more powerful then the original 1600mw laser head. They write it up as being the more powerful laser head which is like the original head on steroids. It is maybe like the original head on weathies. Will not even leave any etch in the included metal tag. Powerful laser heads are 30 or 40 watts, this is 10 watts. Cuts through thicker Basswood then original head. That is basswood......who cares. It is nearly an inch wider and and 3/4 inch thicker, and constantly indicates that it is overheated. If you want to pay over $300 dollars for auto material thickness reading go head. If they spent half as much time producing a highly functional product as they do on marketing and packaging they might produce something worth owning. The packing was spectacular. But you cannot laser anything with the packaging. This is all my fault, I should have done some diligent research. ... show more

  • Not super powerful
Can not cut all Acrylic material even with 10Watt power But was able to cut wood easily

  • I am keeping this in hopes that Snapmaker fixes the problems with it.
The software needs to be fixed. The camera does not work properly. I printed the word snapmaker onto a board to test it and it dropped the bottoms off of several letters. This is a software problem. The camera at this time skews the image short, as in the top item will print as stated above, but the bottom text printed 1 inch higher than the image indicated. So. Why am i not returning it? They are constantly updating the software and firmware and eventually they'll get it right. I hope. ... show more

  • Pretty piece of garbage
This is not what it claims to be. It is weaker as a 10 watt laser than my XTool 5 watter and my Atomstack p7m40. I was suckered in by the most pretty, well made machine I have ever encountered . Thats where it ends. It crashes into the bed just as the 3d printer head. Luban is garbage . There is absolutely 0 customer support. They have faulty fans in them that will burn your unit out quickly if not fixed. I payed 2100 for the 350 package only to be boinked in the boinker. DO NOT BUY THIS MACHINE nor anything from CrapMaker ... show more
