The dimensions of the box were not given. It arrive and is larger than I expected. Nice box but I was looking for a smaller size. Most things on Amazon do not give size or other specifications. I’ll just return it for free and order a smaller size bento box

Had this a little over two months now. The containers hold a pretty good amount of food. Some larger sandwiches even when cut in half have had difficulty fitting but any non-sandwich meal has fit perfectly. The material seems to catch stains pretty easily so things like curry and tomato sauces are probably best to be avoided, though the stains do seem to fade with repeated washing. Cleaning is fairly easy though sometimes food crud builds up inside the rubber gasket that holds the lid in place. The containers themselves seem pretty durable. Have survived a couple short drops and impacts with no damage. Overall satisfied with the product but it is a smidge pricy for what it is.

My bento came today and I'm honestly disappointed. It was supposed to be pink with Sakura blossoms and this is not it. It's cute so I'll keep it but I'm not happy. It does seem to be nicely made

I absolutely adore this! It's large enough for a grown man's needs, it's durable, and it's easy to use and clean. Size: I purchased it for my husband, who needs roughly 3500 calories per day because of the kind of work he does and his hours (10-hour days). He often skips breakfast, so eats mostly snacks along with lunch and dinner. So, as you can imagine, he eats LARGE lunches! We follow the traditional method of Japanese bentos, where you pack it as full and as tightly as you possibly can, and this is enough for my husband to have a full lunch plus a bit left to eat after he clocks out to get him by on his 39-mile drive home to have dinner. Durability: My husband is a total klutz. This man trips going up the stairs, forgets his box at work often, etc. He managed to break not one but TWO Zojirushi Mr. Bentos. This Monbento has managed to somehow survive him, so that, to me, speaks pretty highly of its durability! Plus, if you go to the Monbento website, you can replace every single part of this product without having to buy an entirely new box. Cleaning Ease: Every part of this is dishwasher safe on the top rack, plus it's got a nice, slick material that makes it easy to wipe clean because it's difficult for things to really get a good stick onto it. Now, if it wasn't obvious, this is NOT a thermal bento! You're going to need to put this in a thermal bag if you want something to stay hot or cold. I would highly, highly recommend this bento to anyone who either has big intake needs per meal or who would like the two tiers to put both lunch and dinner in, e.g. a nurse or anyone who works LONG shifts. Definitely not a lunch box for a small woman or a child unless you plan on packing very loosely, or very bulky items.

I am using bento boxes for my work lunches. This saves me tons of money. I love this box because it fits a filling lunch into each compartment. It can hold a sandwich, a serving of chips, fruit, and a snack. It looks smaller than you would think, but if you creatively and thoroughly use the space, it will hold a LOT of food. You need to pack bento compartments totally; that's partly why the bento boxes do not look huge. Use the space thoughtfully and there will be enough room for a good meal in the box.
