This is a great looking light with several color temperatures to choose from. You switch between options using the remote. You don’t need to push a switch by removing the light’s cover like other ceiling lights I saw. It is nice and bright and provides more than enough light for the whole room. I use the remote control to dim it to suit my needs and didn’t have to install a dimmer switch. It is lightweight with a plastic dome but it doesn’t look cheap. I’m very happy with what I bought at a decent price with good looks and a lot of lighting options (daylight, warm, cool.) The remote also has one minute and one hour timers. ... show more

I highly recommend this fixture. You can adjust the brightness and light color with a remote. There is no need to install a dimmable switch, unless you want to. I like the slim profile in our basement. It is a nice looking ceiling light fixture at a very good price.

Easy to install and love the different settings. Old farm house here and don't want to tear apart the stairwell to install a switch. Hung the remote with a pop socket and string by the railing.

I had high hopes for this ceiling light, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. The remote is unreliable and only works when it feels like it. Half the time it doesn’t respond at all, even with fresh batteries, which defeats the entire purpose of having a remote in the first place. The light itself is also underwhelming. The brightness levels are inconsistent, and the color temperature settings don’t match what’s advertised. Sometimes it flickers when changing modes, and occasionally it just resets on its own.
