This is a very well-made and well-designed hose reel. I'm done with the plastic ones. They don't last more than a season or two in our hot summers. This one is so sturdy and is actually quite attractive, with key assembly parts made from metal, I'm hoping it will last a long time. Assembly was easy, all parts were nicely packaged in the shipping box, and everything went together perfectly. I like how compact it is for a wheeled hose reel. It's very lightweight, takes up very little space, yet easily holds my 100 ft hose with no problem. Reel spins easily, with a really nice padded handle. Had a issue and they went above and beyond. Seems like a good product as the construction is simple and quality looks good. I just want a hose reel to last which is why I bought it. My previous one is covered and now I have a family of bumble bees under it.

Excellent shipping packaging. Well made & very easy to assemble. I get the impression this is the last hose reel I'll ever need to buy. My only complaint was the feeder hose - the hose is very flimsy (kinked easily) and the aluminum connectors ARE NOT compatible with brass spigot (galvanic corrosion). ... show more

I would (and actually plan to) purchase again. I wanted to wait until I could use this one before purchasing another for the hose in the back. This thing feels very solid and it is very smooth and rolls the hose up with ease. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I wish it had a guide for the hose because you have to constantly adjust where the house is going on the reel or it will just build up on one edge until it runs over the edge. It's not super difficult to do this, but would be great if you didn't have to. I loved my sunco automatic hose reels but after many years of use they've stopped working and the newer ones are just too cheaply made so I wanted something that would last and this was the best that I could find for the price and that didn't require attaching to my house or a post. Really like it, but would love it if it had a hose guide. ... show more

I ended up buying two of these. Very smooth reeling for 100 ft hose. Pretty durable. Looks good. AND much cheaper than the Gator version. Get it on sale.

Assembly instructions were clear, but the parts were tighter than usual, and actual installation took too more effort than I expected. In the end, I couldn't get a couple of the screws all the way in. Aside from that, it seems to be serving its purpose well.
