This crate is sturdy and beautiful. Solid and very heavy. My GSD could not defeat the bars or door with one exception (so minus one star). The lock on this is very weak and way too small for the size door on the crate. It broke within a day and there’s no way that on its own it would hold a large dog (especially an escape artist). So, it is beautiful and sturdy overall, but you will absolutely need to reinforce the door with additional hardware.

The latch was a little sticky, but after I shot it with WD40, it was fine. I put some “non slip” gorilla pads down inside because it’s a little slippery. Nice and roomy and not too hard to put together by myself :)

I just assembled this today, but so far, I’m quite happy with this 39” crate. It’s sturdy and seems well-made. The parts were labeled for easier assembly. I’d say it took me about an hour and a half to assemble. As others have said, I’m a little underwhelmed with the latch, but it’ll work for now.

This is a really nice and good looking kennel when put together. I had a little trouble just because the pieces fit together tightly, but that just adds to the sturdiness of the kennel. Perfect size for our Chiweenie.

I don’t write reviews but everyone needs these!! I bought 2 as functional decor by my fireplace… put them both together myself in like an hour maybe and it has plenty of room for even my biggest dog (a 110lb husky). Super sturdy! Once they’re in, my dogs can’t get out! For the price I was not expecting to love them as much as I do lol

Pieces may look the same, and the directions don’t denote the holes in all the pieces. The direction of each piece matters SO much!! I had to move each piece 2-4 times and did some damage to the base because I didn’t triple check the pieces of the directs that weren’t spelled out. I’m usually good at building furniture like this, but it was a struggle. That all said, once it was finished, it is sturdy and looks exactly like the picture advertised!!

So I first must say I love this dog crate but I bought it here first for $167 and then found it for only $77 on Walmart.com so I bought 2 more from their website. Free shipping. In total I bought 3 of these large size dog crates and I love them. Very sturdy and beautiful in person. Now our home doesn't look like a kennel anymore. I would've given 5 stars but the price I paid on Amazon was double what Walmart.com offers for the same one.
