I put it under an LG tv, and the tv remote works with this soundbar. No need to use the remote. It definitely beefs up the sound. It’s not “party” loud, but it doesn’t distort and it’s clean and neat. I do love it, although I thought it would go louder. Than again, how loud does your tv need go get. My Bose speakers were beginning to show their age and I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a new sound bar. For 200 bucks you can beat this sound bar. Simple and easy to setup. Sounds great and definitely hits above this price point.

It's a budget priced 2.1 sound bar, and has quality to match. I think it's reasonably priced, and delivers reasonable performance. 'm actually ok with it, but some others in the house feel the quality is not up to par with hard to understand voices - albeit when they have accents. For the price, and with a matching branded TV, I really can't see doing better than this product. If you know it's not top of the line, and know what you're buying, I think it's an excellent product personally. I would recommend it, if you know what you're buying. ... show more

It really helped the sound of my TV. I use the TV remote (Both LG) for the volume. I tried optic and ARC and did not hear a difference. Pairing with the sub just worked automatically. This is not powerful enough to rock the house but it does a good job of bringing out the sounds. I like the display on the front. I did not use tech support. ... show more

This product sounds absolutely amazing! It allows you to hear all the high and lows in great quality, and the subwoofer that it comes with has amazing range as well. My only complaint is that it came with a wall mount but no screws. I had to look pretty hard to find screws that were able to fit in the threaded screw holes on the bottom of the soundbar. I’m surprised at the negative reviews. BS. This thing is perfect right out of the box. Hooked it all up in 5min and it works seamlessly with my LG tv. If you’re looking for a great replacement for your sucky TV speakers then look no further. Awesome product and would buy it again.

    • Nice for the price
Significant improvement over the TV speakers. You can buy better but likely not for $179. This was super easy to setup using the optical port on my LG TV. If I had to do it over again I likely would have bought the LG SL6y as this model has a center speaker but into it which makes the voice clearer.

    • Poor syncing with LG TV
If the TV is on, but hasn't been used in a few minutes, it goes into standby with a screensaver. Then, this soundbar turns off. No settings to make it not do that. When you later wake the TV up, the sound bar does NOT turn on. You have to go through the annoying process (menu, down, down, down, down, right, right, right, select) to set it back to HDMI ARC. Suck. Awful experience. Original review follows: ...the television turns on and the sound bar doesn’t sync up so I’m stuck with crappy sound from the TV speakers. I need to find the remote control for the sound bar and turn it on manually or use the television remote just set it to ARC. Everything is set up appropriately, this is just a product fail. I don’t think it’s specific to my bar or television, I think it’s just not designed and made well. However, if you have an LG TV, this might be? about as good as you can get. I first purchased a Polk sound bar and that was somehow even worse. I have a feeling all of the mandated power saving regulations are crippling user experience. That, and corporate greed. I don’t know that sound bar integration would be any better New Vizio models, but I prefer almost everything about user experience and bar integration of my 2015 Vizio television to my 2019 LG TV and soundbar experience. ... show more
