My Bose speakers were beginning to show their age and I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on a new sound bar. For 200 bucks you can beat this sound bar. Simple and easy to setup. Sounds great and definitely hits above this price point.

Very good sound quality; easy to set up. Had problem with subwoofer cutting out periodically and checked other reviews as I recall reading something about that, and one reviewer said he called LG help line to resolve so I did the same and they helped me identify that I had another bluetooth device right next to the subwoofer. As soon as I moved it, the interference problem went away. No problems since. LG technician stayed with me while I moved the subwoofer and rehooked it up. Great support! ... show more

This product sounds absolutely amazing! It allows you to hear all the high and lows in great quality, and the subwoofer that it comes with has amazing range as well. My only complaint is that it came with a wall mount but no screws. I had to look pretty hard to find screws that were able to fit in the threaded screw holes on the bottom of the soundbar. It really helped the sound of my TV. I use the TV remote (Both LG) for the volume. I tried optic and ARC and did not hear a difference. Pairing with the sub just worked automatically. I’m surprised at the negative reviews. BS. This thing is perfect right out of the box. Hooked it all up in 5min and it works seamlessly with my LG tv. If you’re looking for a great replacement for your sucky TV speakers then look no further. Awesome product and would buy it again.

Significant improvement over the TV speakers. You can buy better but likely not for $179. This was super easy to setup using the optical port on my LG TV. If I had to do it over again I likely would have bought the LG SL6y as this model has a center speaker but into it which makes the voice clearer.

From time to time the sound will go terribly out of sync. When turning on the sync feature on the LG TV, it somehow gets worse. Aside from the sync issues, ARC also has problems. The soundbar turns on with the TV about 25 percent of the time. So I have to leave the soundbar remote handy so I can turn the sound on manually. This defeats the whole purpose of ARC.
