Good, high quality soundbar and surround speakers. Set up is very easy. I have owned various soundbar systems. All seem to fail on providing clear, recognizable spoken dialog. Most require sacrificing other effects for clear dialog. Not with the LG S95AR. Vocals are perfect. And I don't throw that word around easily. The weakest part of the system is the subwoofer despite all LG recommended tweaks. The subwoofer simply lacks the power for wall shaking bass and movie quality explosions. Very disappointing. And I deducted one star for that sad defect. Even worse, LG does not sell a more powerful subwoofer that's is wirelessly compatible with the S95AR. I do recommend the S95AR. Especially if you own an LG TV and want ease of integration. ... show more

I’ve seen a lot of low ratings for this soundbar, and honestly I think most of them are missing an important point. If you’re coming from a full receiver + surround sound setup like I did, yes — there’s going to be a bit of a trade-off. That’s just the reality of moving to a soundbar system. But compared to a typical soundbar setup, especially something like my previous LG soundbar + sub, the S95AR is a major upgrade in both clarity and immersion. Here’s the part most people aren’t realizing: This soundbar is designed to fully shine with an LG G-Series TV. That combo unlocks additional features and performance (like WOW Orchestra integration), which makes a noticeable difference. Without that pairing, you’re not getting the full experience — and that’s probably why some users feel underwhelmed. So my honest take: - If you don’t have a G-Series LG TV, you might not get everything this system is capable of — and it may not be worth it for you. - If you do have a G-Series, this setup sounds fantastic and absolutely delivers. For me, paired with a G-Series TV, the sound is powerful, immersive, and a big step up from standard soundbars. ... show more

It’s hard to believe it’s so bad considering the price tag, but unfortunately it really is terrible. I have been using soundbars for nearly 2 decades. I currently have a Vizio Elevate P514a-H6, and while it has its quirks, it produces a very good sound. There are better options, but it remains a decent product. In contrast, the S95AR is shockingly horrible. If you’ve never had a sound system before and are moving from using just your tv speakers, sure. It’s better than that, so maybe you wouldn’t notice. But if you have used just about any other sound system previously, you will notice how exceptionally poor the quality is. The bar itself sounds tinny with virtually no bass. Even if you turn on bass boost mode and jack up the bass to the maximum, it is still nearly nonexistent. The only place bass comes from is the subwoofer, no other speakers seem to be capable. Additionally, the sound is muddy. Dialogue is buried and detailed sounds like footsteps are completely lost. What is more, the rear satellites sound like they are playing audio from an entirely different source. This is especially noticeable when gaming, as any time sounds move from in front of you to behind it sounds like an entirely different sound system is outputting the audio with completely different processing. Disorienting to say the least. It’s not just a lack of bass, the processing makes its overall output sound less full. It is as though the threshold is so high that regular content simply doesn’t register and ends up sounding like a tin can regardless of what setting you choose. I spent a week attempting every setting adjustment imaginable, but this thing simply sounds as though you added additional TV speakers. The audio comes at you from a wider soundstage, but remains completely flat. I’m confident that a system 1/4 the price would blow this thing out of the water.
