  • Huge and Beautiful
upgraded our first generation OLED LG, the old one was a 65”… this 77” is a significant improvement!! colors are better / brighter… on the Apple 4k screen saver, you can see the ripples in the snow now … one of those things were you don’t know what you aren’t seeing until suddenly they are in front of you… the first generation OLED LG was amazing… i doubted this would be that much of an improvement… it is super great!! … not the mention the energy consumption is minimal! very cool!! glad i purchased this! 6 months later - The TV is GREAT... HATE all the "AI" stuff - with this junk enabled, every couple of hours the voice recognition kicks in and takes you to an app or some other non-sense... constantly!! and it is like we are speaking, it is just listening the TV and it triggers itself... very stupid!! then there is AI for the image - this is garbage as well... it seems to think a dark scene needs to be even darker... fortunately - you can turn this all off in settings... I have found it re-enabled though after updates and randomly every couple of weeks - it is super easy to know it is enabled again because the voice recognition is always turning on (Alexa / Siri / Google - they never trigger in the same room), but this LG TV ... again, it is constant - so turn all the AI off!!! it is called "AI" in settings. ... show more

  • Awesome TV - and Easy to set up!!!
Set up was a breeze, surprisingly. Mine went into a room with 2 bright skylights and the picture is fantastic. Got it with the Sound Bar and wireless sub-woofer. Everything synced up the first try. I was watching tv about 5 minutes after pressing power for the first time. Plenty bright and big enough for my 17x17 living room. Only con.... the mounting plate comes with ultra-cheap sheetrock anchors. All 6 of the ones I tried ended up spinning in the sheetrock, but I had other ones handy so no biggie. The 4 fins that hold the anchor are tiny and the amount of force needed to open the anchor behind the sheetrock is greater than these 4 fins can stand in the sheetrock. Also, it does not come with stand so order one separate if you want one. Wall mount bracket was included. ... show more

  • Worth seeking out if you are holding on to your Kuro TV
I purchased this to replace my beloved Pioneer PRO-150 Kuro TV. It was evident out out of the box that this was a definite upgrade over the Kuro. I will say that compared directly and at the same light level and resolution the Kuro holds its own in terms of color and saturation but the blacks are where the difference is most notable. The Kuro was professionally calibrated over 15 years ago and held up well over the years however the brightness 4K resolution and overall color palette outshines the Kuro, the subtly in hues are immediately evident when observing clothing and nature scenes, 4k is sublime as it's almost life like in its presentation. The G2 TVs come with an NTSC 3.0 tuner, something that LG has elected not to include in 2024 G3 and C3 models and later, this means new models don't have the capability of picking up 4k over the air transmissions, you will have to buy an outboard tuner. They can be had for a bargain now so don't wait until they are gone. ... show more

  • Awful. Shame on Amazon and LG! Done within 45 days of receipt!
Bought this "top of the line" 4K OLED LG TV, paid for professional install and extended warranty. First time buy a TV away from Best Buy or Costco. Never again! Bought TV late Aug (2022), arrived early Sept (2022), and by mid-Oct (2022), yes all within 2 months, the TV is a lemon. White vertical line from top to bottom middle of the screen most of the time. TV automatically shutting down all the time. Can't watch anything on this! Amazon stated it was beyond window to have this remedied right...so recommended going to LG. LG used scripts until I finally got a service ticket open where they 3rd party knew right away we needed a new panel. Just the panel or a new TV, not sure yet. Best Buy or Costco would have made this right near immediately. Amazon basically hands off. And doubt we go with LG again. We have had many Samsung TVs and never a quality issue like this. Why did we buy this expensive OLED TV? Is Amazon and/or LG going to finally make this right? Awful experience so far. ... show more

  • Great picture quality but can't get rid of my Roku yet (this "Smart TV" isn't that smart)!
Up-sized from a 65 to 77 and am glad I did so. The picture is excellent so far. I am not an AV guru so I cannot comment on the technical aspects of this model. Navigating the menus and features is a little cumbersome but that is mainly a learning curve for now. I have two applications that I cannot find nor install: NFL and Qello Concerts. I have FINALLY figured out how to contact customer support as this group is very difficult to contact and hopefully they figure out the application issue. So for now I'll be keeping my Roku attached. The remote that comes with the TV is a piece of junk for me. I have significant hand disabilities and the "scroll-select" button is a nightmare. Also there is no way to disable the auto-mouse thing, also a nightmare for me. I already have a universal remote to replace the included one. ... show more

  • Amazing Picture Needs 2 Remotes to Operate
First time owning a LG TV. My first comnennt is pisitive. The imageson the screen is second to none. It's amazing. The BIG complaint is that it's this TV is NOT easy to set up or use on a daily basis because you need to use 2 remotes, the one that comes with the TV and your cable remote. This annoys me to no end. The Actual remote that comes w the set likes an uber sensitive mouse. It points and scoots around the screen very quickly as you hold it and try to use it ... ANNOYING. Finding the correct places to set up the prompts you want is an exercise in frustration. The initial Setup process is very difficult!!! The remote (mouse) scoots around while you need to hit the "ok" button in the center of the remote but by then the mouse moves URGHHH ... You can use the little moon shaped button but again the mouse is active. Had I known that I needed 2 remotes I would not have made the 2 costly purchases. You can NOT use a universal remote with these TVs. The images that come off these Televisions are spectacular. The colours are vivid, true, deep. No soundbar necessary. The sound is loud, clear, crisp. The tv's are beautiful! Thin, easy to attach to their mounting. If I didn't need 2 remotes to use these LG TVs I'd have given it 5 stars. ... show more
