  • Pretty but not Smart and 0 Personality
It’s a pretty cool looking refrigerator. And it does keep things cold. I think LG product engineers need more experience on US products that store in a fridge. The shelves aren’t really adjustable, because they didn’t test clearances in the design. So the ability to actually create room for a 2 L bottle in the compartment is impossible. You can store one or two in the door and that’s it. By the way, those shelves are not adjustable either although they made provisions for it. Funny design flaws, but my $700 Kenmore of half the footprint could hold more stuff and keep it organized better. I’m sure that as they gain experience the products get better. Oh, full size brick of cheese won’t fit in the dairy drawer. lol. Thanks ... show more

  • Life's Good? No, Life's A Joke, like their warranty
Run. Run as fast as you can. The only thing worse than LG appliances is the service you will get when something goes wrong. Make sure you have the BBB on speed dial if you make the mistake of buying one of these. Make sure you get an itemized receipt from the place you purchase it, not just one that says "LG kitchen appliance bundle". They'll use this to try and weasel out of any responsibility for their trash products. They'll send someone out to fix your refrigerator. That will take a month. Your refrigerator will work for a week. If you're lucky. Repeat this like 3 times. That's the cliff notes version of your experience opening one of these products. Products are utter garbage. When LG support asked for a review, I said the camera was the best feature of my refrigerator. That’s because it doesn't have one, and therefore cannot break. That explains everything you need to know about why I wouldn't recommend someone buy an LG. ... show more

  • So so refrigerator
I like the refrigerator overall but within the first year the cooling fan died. The dorr ice make always jams and you have to open the inside door panel and stick your hand inside to unstick the ice. also within one year the right side door no longer stays closed. when you close the left door, the right door pops open and when you close the right door it opens a little again is my second warranty claim in the first year. I really like the fact that it has ice on the door and in the bottom freezer section but the door ice doesn't dispense very well. ... show more

  • Customer service is a joke.
Registered warranty twice and they can not find any record when contacted for a repair on a new refrigerator, delivered 3 weeks ago.

  • Don't ever buy an appliance from LG
LG's customer service is the worst. We didn't buy this model of refrigerator but the one we did buy had a recall on the compressor which we were never contacted about. The compressor went bad after 3 1/2 years and we called to have it repaired and were tole that the they have a new compressor for their refrigerators because the previous one was junk. Anyway after 2 weeks of trying to get authorization for a local guy (we live in a rural community) to fix our fridge with it still pending approval we were told we could buy or rent a fridge to get by. Finally we received a second authorization from a Phx company to come out to fix it with a another 2 week wait. LG was very frustrating to work with and we had to call each day to pressure progress . Just calling them was so frustrating. Everyday was at least a 20-40 min wait. I will never buy a LG appliance again. Ugh. ... show more

  • Really BAD! Total disappointment!
We did not buy this model, but inherited it with the house we bought a little over 2 years ago. Like all other appliances that came with the house, it was not very old. Most likely 5-6 years old, although I cannot be sure. Recently the compressor failed and we had a lot of trouble dealing with the aftermath. Spoiled food, flooded floor, protracted repair process without food to cook or eat, buying ice every day, haggling and agonizing with the repair person, expensive repair costs. I am almost 65 years old and have used maybe more than 20 refrigerators of all sizes and models, and in all kinds of conditions, from new to very old. Never in my life have I had a refrigerator compressor fail on me! According to the repairman, this is a very prevalent problem with LG refrigerators. I am very angry with this incident caused by the inferior quality of LG, and will not buy any LG product any more! ... show more

  • What customer service???
I purchased the LG 26 Cu. Ft. Stainless French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot. The refrigerator immediately started depositing white granules from the water dispenser. Calcium deposits from hard water? This occurs at random intervals even when the water dispenser is not used and has not been used for weeks. Moreover, in our area, the water is extremely soft. There is no hard water. These are just dry, white granules. Even though the appliance was brand new, after repeated calls, LG refused to send a technician to address the problem. They claimed this was “normal.” It never occurred with the older stainless fridge this newer one replaced. Does this look “normal” to you? Just wish I had read the Amazon reviews before purchase. This absolutely will be the last time I purchase anything from LG. ... show more

  • Only had it 5 years
We bought it new for around $2200 five years ago. About a month ago it started to make a loud rumbling noise. Fortunately, I am moderately handy, and after many hours of investigating I was able to identify the problem as the "ice room" fan. The ice room fan is one of the two fans in the behind the interior freezer wall that functions to blow cold air upward and freeze the ice that is dispensed from the door. Although the part is no longer made I was able to obtain one through Sears for $125 (includes shipping). Easy to install once I figured it out. Interestingly, the refrigerator's smart app never detected a problem LOL!!! What a LEMON! Stay far away from LG. ... show more
