Happy with the purchase specially because I got it at a really good price... but i found the reason of it. it was shipped without any outer box to protect it or at least to hide what it is. It was jsut shipped with the original box but there was no security tape or anything that you can verify it was not opened before. when i got the box, i just simple open it like a happy meal kid box... But well.. at least everything looks new and it works. ... show more

Purchased this sound bar to upgrade from an old 5.1 system and to clear up some space. On paper the eclair ticked all my requirements: small, well built, support for latest codecs, and hdmi passthrough. Didn’t really care about the lack of wifi or smart assistant support. Saw and read several reviews online and despite the mixed reviews I decided to give it a chance so I pulled the trigger and bought it when I saw it go on sale. It was easy and after upgrading the firmware using the app I was ready to go. The big problem for me and the main reason why I returned it was the sound quality. The sound stage is too narrow (to be expected from a small bar) but the biggest problem was the inconsistency on the sound quality. Watching sports or tv shows the sound quality was fine, on games it was terrible, and on movies it was ok. So no matter how much tweaking I did using the app I could not get it to perform consistently well no matter the settings or sound mode. In some modes it sounded too flat, in other cases the sound stage opened up but the sound was too processed to the point of causing some fatigue. All in all I really wanted to like this bar, gave it a fair shot but ultimately I returned it. Your mileage may vary but for me it didnt work. ... show more

This system exceeded my expectations. Everything worked as advertised, the subwoofer paired immediately, and after downloading the LG app this system easily met all of my requirements for a family TV sound system. The bass punches but doesn’t overwhelm, the voices are easy to hear during viewing, and the atmospherics improve the experience. I will say that, out of the box and trying it with my wife’s show that’s always on (Friends), it was a disappointment. But having read other reviews on here, I knew that it would improve once I started messing with the app. Now it’s a small, delicate looking beast of a sound system! ... show more
