  • Want a movie theater at home!! This is it.
I have always wanted a big screen since I was 18. So I have been buying projects since then, and every time I want more and more. Really I bought projectors like crazy (I might have a problem) Well my last one was a viewsonic X10 4k it was amazing but the dark colours seem a little washed and eventually had a burn screen after 2 years. So after a lot of cheap and good projectors I bought this one!!. Wow is got the best dark and whites I've seen in the 20 years plus of projectors, fixing the screen it was also the easiest so yes I upgraded my screen to 150" and yes with 7.1 surround sound I don't go to the movies anymore. Unless is to support a good movie. I will update if anything happens, so far so good is been a year. Oh Life is Good. LG ... show more

  • Review from an Average User
I'm an average user. I don't have a dark room or a theater room set up for this. It's just set up in my living room and (for the moment) projecting onto my wall. So this is a review from someone who just has an average living room. The picture quality is fantastic. It will be even better once we get it on a screen but we don't have one yet. The brightness of the projector absolutely shocked me. I expected a clear, crisp picture at night when the room is dark but the light level in the living during the day can best be described as "dim" with all the blinds closed. We were never going to get to theater level darkness. Despite that, you can't tell the difference in picture between the day time and night time pictures. I even pulled the same youtube video up so it's a fair comparison. The projector is just as bright during the day as it is during the night! The form-factor of the projector is also shockingly small. The last time I saw a project in person it was huge so I was sort of expecting it to be fairly large despite looking at the dimensions on the listing. The projector has a convenient aiming feature that allowed us to adjust the position of the video without having to adjust the entire projector. It made it so much easier to get it angled just right between the two pieces of furniture we have. We haven't gotten rid of the TV that we were using before yet, but once we do, we plan to just move the projected picture down. The integration with Alexa isn't perfect. We currently have it plugged into an amazon cube and we need to use the projector remote to turn the projector on and off but then use the amazon remote for everything else. This could be user error or set up error though since even though the cube isn't plugged into the old TV anymore... it still turns that TV on when we say to turn the TV on. Overall, I'm super pleased with this projector. It's 100% worth the cost even in a normal living room. My dad and I love watching things on it and are slowly making changes to the living room to accommodate it. ... show more

  • A QUALITY PRODUCT FROM LG. Front Projection - The only way to go.
I am extremely happy with this system. The price was perfect, it's not bulky and I find the image to be impressive. You can make lots of adjustments to the TV to suit your own preferences and you can zoom to fit any size. A good screen is expensive and I was on a budget so, according to the article I read in an A/V magazine, I purchased a certain shade of white paint they recommended and painted the rear wall of my living room that color. The wall is solid and smooth and my living room is 15' x 15'. I set up the projector and covered a 10' long x 6' height image on the wall. The picture quality was impressive. I invited friends over and everyone was amazed how good the picture looked on a solid white wall. All you need is a good surround system and you are all set. Naturally this solution can't match the quality of a good movie screen but for me I'm happy in my home theater. I have DVDs, Blu Ray, UHD Blu ray movies and concerts. ... show more

  • AMAZING! Great price and more options and higher quality than more expensive options
This projector was amazing from day 1! We wanted to upgrade our previous HD projector to a true UHD experience. So first we bought the Samsung Laser 120" UST UHD projector. The first one came DOA, but the second one just wasn't as great as the $4000 it costs. So we decided to try another highly-rated projector, the Optoma. This one, though the reviews say differently, was quite the letdown. I left a review for that item. So after going through these other projectors, I bought the LG CineBeam. The LG not only has a greater throw distance than, but it is crystal clear. I have had several other LG products and they have always turned out great. I am so happy with this purchase. ... show more

  • Great Projector
I was a bit surprised about the form factor, long and narrow vs my previous projector which was wider. Was able to make it work with my exiting setup without having to mount on ceiling. Zoom can be just reduced enough to fit picture to my 120“ fixed screen from 18feet out. This is the 2nd version of the projector and the first one seemed to have color issues. Couldn‘t get the blueish tint out of the whites. This one is perfect and now watching UHD contents and even streaming regular shows is really impressive. Big step up from my Epson 5040UB which finally broke down for good after 7 years of good use. Using this in a dedicated theater room not completely blacked out but with good light control. I don‘t love the remote control keep accidentally starting apps also it is not available on harmony hub and needs manual setup. ... show more

  • The Best Projector for the Money!
We replaced an earlier model Sony native 4k projector with this new LG. We were tired of waiting for the bulb to warm up on the Sony. The brightness was always lacking and recently the colors were starting to look washed out. We could not be more happy with the LG. Almost instant on and the depth of color and brightness is much better. The projector is super quiet and does not seem to run too hot. It was easy to setup. While we have manual controls instead of the powered focus and lens shift of the Sony, you only adjust those one time so it was not a feature we will miss. We had the prior model LG 810 to try last year but returned it do to laser sparkle and audio sync issues but this newer model 710 has a different color engine so there is no issue. It looks close to our LG OLED TVs! Highly recommended model from LG. ... show more
