This is a direct replacement for the units in our condo. Previously had the 10K BTU unit, upgraded to next highest and it works much better. Also our electric bill went down! The unit doesn’t run constantly like the old one did. Love the remote control too!

    • damaged and not functional AC units
The first AC came with a dented fan and was super loud. I then bought a second one hoping it was just a bad item and the second unit was even worse and the fan didn't even spin. These are 80 pound through the wall AC units and you are expected to return the damaged product to UPS. I contacted the seller and no response. LG is coming out Thursday to see if it is even fixable. I have been without air for 3 weeks now due to sending me 2 different damaged AC units. I want a refund of the items immediately. Do not buy these. ... show more

We bought this for my mother in assisted living. It has done a good job of cooling her apartment. She love the remote because the unit is mounted high and she can't reach the control. This lets her adjust the temperature at will.

Don`t install yourself.. hire someone to do it because its not easy. also it a little loud you will not be able to sleep while its working.

I purchased this unit 1 week ago. Packaging was fine with no obvious damage. we installed the unit in one of our rental units. First the blower motor would not work. we removed the unit and brought it back to our shop to see what the problem was. Turns out a piece of tubing insulation was jammed against the fan blades preventing it from turning. we then reinstalled the unit. Our tenant called us the next day and informed us the compressor would start then would shut down after 5 minutes then blowing hot air. after spending 30 minutes on the phone with LG customer service they gave us a date to service the unit of Friday 05/29 with a reference number.After calling the service center this morning to check on an appointment time I received a voice mail back this morning 05/29 from the service center saying they do not service this unit and they sent the service ticket back to LG and that they would call me to schedule someone else. As of the writing of this review I have not received a call form LG to reschedule and I find it hard to believe they waited two days to alert me to the fact they couldn't service the unit. I will be purchasing another unit and sending this one back! ... show more

LG is considered preferred AC u it buy Consumer Reports Magazine and there phone app. Reviews on Amazon confirmed it. My delivery was Timely. This is not a one-man job installation. Measure twice and cut once and consider getting a pro to give you a hand. Great unit for my mom's house!
