  • Exactly what I needed
Color: Black
Well constructed, thick, accurate and an excellent value.

  • fair basic gps computer, but no Garmin.
Color: Black
I got this bike computer a moth ago because it would display texts, call etc on the display. In addition it integrates with the Lezyne Smart connect lights. Battery life seems good, display of ride parameters is very visible. Price is really dirt cheap. That is the good parts. Now the bad. It is not a touchscreen and the push buttons are awkwardly placed and very stiff. The mapping function does not show street names. As a matter of fact, when I power off the computer it loses its map files and no map will show. Turning on and off the lights is very tedious- much easier to just bend down and turn on manually. Can only get phone data when running the Lezyne GPS Ally app on the phone. Shutting off the computer is again tedious requiring several button pushes to save or delete the ride recording. Then the worst part is the very glitchy software. When turning on the computer, it will often show a weird screen because the boot up glitched. It will do the same when charging the battery. Recovery requires holding down 2 button for 30 seconds and then restarting - which clears out your settings and data. Save your money and get the Garmin Edge 830 instead, you won't regret it. ... show more

  • Great Bike Computer, Very Versatile
Color: Black
Works great, accurate readings. I love that you can configure many different screen layouts. You can configure the device through the mobile app, this makes it very easy to set up the device. Sturdy construction, large display. I have to get more into the route creation feature and the turn by turn navigation. ... show more

  • Problematic for mountain biking
Color: Black
As everyone has noted, the Mega has a good sized screen, easy to read, easy to set up on your phone, and good battery life. The mapping is pretty basic but ok. Speed, distance, and time are good. And customer support is quite responsive, actually answers emails. But several unresolved problems after using it for 2 years for mountain biking: 1. The altitude readout is widely variable. On my regular ride that has a gain of 460-480 feet (on a Boynton Rider 310 and Hammerhead), the Mega shows as low as 370 to as high as 1325 feet! It apparently tries to correct the barometric reading with GPS data as you ride and makes it completely unreliable. You can upload the ride to their site and it "corrects" this effect, but the corrected gain is about 384 feet - more consistent but not the same as my other units. And who wants to go to this trouble after every ride? Since altitude gain is a key metric for mountain biking, this is a significant problem. 2. It periodically beeps and says that I have stopped, even though I'm still moving, usually 3-5 mph on hills. It restarts in a few seconds. Resolved only after they provided a separate wheel sensor - one more battery to change. 3. The temperature reading is always 3-5 degrees above other units, even out of any sunlight. 4. It responds slowly to changes in grade - you won't get an accurate reading on shorter hills as compared to others. 5. It requires lots of button presses: to turn it off requires 7 presses if the phone app is not connected! 6. If you don't wait for it to acquire satellites before starting, when it does find satellites it just says movement detected, do you want to record? But no beep to alert you so you can miss recording a good part of your ride. So I've demoted my Mega to backup and now happily use a Hammerhead instead., with much less frustration. ... show more

  • Excellent engineering
Color: Black
This little guy does what it's supposed to and it does it well. No, it's a B & W display and it's not large, so it's not eye candy. However, it's a little marvel in what it does and how user-friendly it is. Gives you not only a list of connected devices, but even shows you their battery levels. Excellent GPS tops off the package. It's only for cycling, so be advised. ... show more

  • GPS Routing software not fully baked I.M.O.
Color: Black
I agree with the above review that states, "But the there's a lot to be desired in the firmware and the accompanying app." The app AND software is completely USER UNFRIENDLY AND UNINTUITIVE. I use an apple macbook and was not able to get the unit to connect with the computer software on the laptop. Unable to update firmware. Unable to load routes through the USB connection to the computer. The directions that come with the unit did not help and I was unable to have the computer see the unit. I was able to load routes and offline maps with Bluetooth connection, although slow, and required several attempts because it would fail more times than it would succeed. Automatic uploads to STRAVA worked well. The GPS ROUTING IN MY AREA (Durham N.C. near R.T.P.) IS FAULTY; it had me going around in circles telling me to make U-turns because I didn't hit exact points on the road (should be intelligent enough to know that once I pass near point to keep routing me forward on the set route and not re-routing me on a quarter-mile loop to make sure I hit some fantom point on the map. I really wanted to keep this computer because of the size, battery life, and pricepoint. The failing GPS routing, the inability for me to connect to my computer with the lezyne app to update firmware and/or load routes is making me spend more money and go with another company's product. AGREE WITH THE FOLLOWING: (+) Good stuff 1. Large screen, up to 10 data fields and portrait mode. YES 2. Published battery life of 48 hours (seems to be holding up well) YES 3. Simultaneous ANT+ and BTLE support for external sensors. YES (STAGES POWER METER CONFIRMED WITH BTLE) 4. Offline maps, and navigation, but it's also a (-) as I can't get a map loaded. YES COULD LOAD MAPS WITH BLUETOOTH 5. GPS Ally V2 app UNINTUITIVE I.M.O. 6. It's a great device that I would really like to hold on to, Lezyne needs to do a lot of work on the firmware and the app and their mapping services. AGREE WITH THIS REVIEWER'S STATEMENT TOO. ALL BASED ON MY 3 WEEKS OF USE IN DURHAM NC. ... show more

Very nice computer. Took it on a 66 mile ride last week and compared it to a Garmin another rider had, dead on accurate. Finds GPS signal fast!
