Great quality, much lighter than you would think they would be. Fits exactly right, as expected. The buckles and straps are very thick but still very flexible, and easy to strap on. Docs are always great quality but I am still surprised at how nice these are. The bottom is a bit squishy which is nice and makes them pretty comfy. I had originally purchased a different style of sandal. Some people mentioned that it ran a little big. My reg size is an 8 and my feet tend to swell. There was no option to get a half size down so I got the 8. They weren't just a little too big they were like clown shoe too big. I need Stable sandals after back surgery so I ordered these a full size down in a 7. They fit absolutely perfectly. They are also very cute on the feet and match well with a variety of fashion looks from grunge to a cute dress. I can walk in them for a long time and my feet don't hurt. Both the top strap and the ankle strap are adjustable and have plenty of holes to get a secure fit so you don't have to worry about the sandals slipping off your foot. So comfortable and cute! The straps are perfectly placed to keep the sandal on, and they are a hearty shoe, well made. Leather is soft and I wore them for hours right when they arrived! No need to break them in! Size is perfect too!

First time buying Dr Marten sandals and I am blown away but the comfort of these! I can't believe I haven't bought some sooner. As far as sizing goes, I am usually 7.5 and had read to size down so I got a size 7. They fit perfect! I ended up returning the Taupe color b/c the color pictured is much lighter than the actual shoe color. The Vintage Taupe is more of a grey and I just didn't love the color and wanted something a little more versatile. I would've loved if they were a cream color! I still give these a 5 star b/c I know colors can always appear different online than in person. These are amazing shoes so don't pass them up! ... show more

Buckles instead of Velcro on most other sandals are very helpful in keeping the sandals snug on feet. One of the few shoes I own that hug my high arch. Yay. Lighter soles than the usual DM soles are a plus. 4 stars bc I’m unclear about The leather straps. Nowhere except in the description does it say leather upper. It doesn’t smell like leather and it feels like vegan leather. We’ll see when I’m wearing them out and gut the straps or how they weather wearing them.
