Arrived early. I like that it is solid wood (no laminate etc), and it was sanded nicely. No part of the bed was preassembled. Lots of pieces, but it went together quickly with good instructions. Seems sturdy, but haven't had anyone sleep on it yet (in guest room.) I've added 2 coats of clear coat finish. I like the unique design that provides support without a middle leg and the simple, clean lines. I also like that it is the actual size of a queen sized mattress. If you start looking at frames, you will see that many are several inches longer and wider than the mattress. This design has the mattress sitting on top of supports without a surrounding frame. In a small room, every inch counts. Overall, I'm very happy with the bed frame. Update: 15 months after buying the first one, I've bought a second one. My only complaint is that there is some noise when moving on the mattress. You must retighten the bolts/screws after a couple of months. It is wood with several parts, and things do loosen very slightly over time. Overall, still very happy with my purchases of these all-wood bed frames. ... show more

This is a winner! I saw this months ago but I had to look at everything out there & came back to this. It meets the criteria of 1. USA made as I like to support local business. 2. all Wood ( no cheap toxic fillers) 3. Sturdiness, the slats & construction will hold over 700 lbs. 4. Has the matching twin trundle, which I also ordered but haven’t put it together yet. This is going in a lake house & I wanted the flexibility of sleeping more people without being limited to twin beds or bunks. The queen size fit this room perfectly with plenty of room for the trundle to pull out. 5. The simple look which I think will be timeless, I was a little concerned about the wood color, but it blends perfect with my white oak floors(white wash stain) I’m going to leave it unfinished without stain or paint for now. 6. The value is unbeatable online, believe me, I researched like a mofo. 7. Easy to put together as per reviews, I will have to say it went like a breeze, everything was there, even a extra bolt! It took me & my husband about 45 minutes. All in all extremely pleased with this purchase on all points. The Tuft & Needle 10” mattress fit perfect on this bed. I put the Gorilla grip mattress thing for non slip but can’t comment on that because haven’t slept on the bed yet. Great Bed Frame! Best affordable all wood bed frame you can buy. I had the queen for 8 years, then upgraded to a king. highly recommended. It looks better if you stain and put 2 coats of polyurethane, I did that with the queen, but we left the king plain wood, still looks great. Wood comes pre sanded, super sturdy frame, great design! Center double beam runs down the middle, NICE. No stupid center leg needed for support ( for the queen, king came with a center support leg but I didnt use it, I have a spare mattress under the king frame) No creeks even when "active" in bed ;). Goes together easy with the included QUALITY hardware. I sold the queen frame for $150 and it looked brand new. Price is very reasonable for what you get. The design is key. Make sure to measure your mattress height as the pillows can slip between a little, The Charleston has vertical slats for the headboard, that the best design, but they didnt have in king : ( ... show more

First, I am impressed with the customer service of the manufacturer: My use of the bed is relatively light, so it was a surprise to me, being well below the weight limit, that one day i heard a crack, checked under and sure enough one of the support boards had split lengthwise. After getting in touch with the manufacturer seeing that it was still under warranty and breaking despite relatively light use, they promptly responded, and sent the replacement part at no charge to me. There is another bed of this model in our household that is used daily and is still holding up well. I definitely appreciate the five year warranty, the excellence of the customer service, and the prompt delivery of the replacement part. The product itself is mostly decent, prior to the breakage I would have said it was extremely sturdy, however I still believe it to be a relatively sturdy bed, and that my case was a case of being a defect. I still feel confident that it will live up to my expectations over the coming years. I like how it is made out of unfinished wood that I can customize according to my needs in terms of staining it or painting it. I like the overall design of the bed, it was easy to put together by myself, the tools needed being included. The one thing I dislike about this particular design, is that the headrest does let pillows slip through the gaps of horizontal headboard slats, I'm sure there is a solution to that, but out of the box it is a problem, but not one unique to this bed, but pretty much any bed with horizontal headrest gaps could potentially have this problem. Overall, between the bed's design and the excellence of the customer service from the manufacturer when a problem did occur, I am satisfied with the product. ... show more

Update Feb 2022: Still happy. We’re foster parents and have had toddlers through up to 6 year old sleep on it, as well as my brother and FIL while visiting (both adult males). I’ve taken naps on it too. It has a 12” mattress in the pic. Very sturdy and the storage space underneath is essential since we are in a small condo. Original: I am so happy we bought this bed. The natural wood look is gorgeous. If you want everything uniform and matched, you need to paint it or purchase another bed, but I love that this is real wood (sturdy!) and not covered in chemical crap. Assembly was so easy with my husband. I’ve been buying a lot of furniture and around the house things on Amazon during quarantine and my husband said “How, out of all the things we have bought, is a BED the easiest thing we’ve put together?!” High compliments to the seller, the directions were great and it really was easy. Love the look of the finished product, the slats aren’t all tight on the twin XL but should be fine, and I think when I retighten the bolts in a little while it may get better. 4 stars for now due to easy assembly and gorgeous end product, will upgrade to 5 stars after some kids sleep on it and see if it holds up over time :) ... show more

This is an outstanding bedframe. I needed a California King bedframe for a guest room. I wanted to make sure it was a sturdy frame that could easily support a hybrid mattress with two people sleeping. This entire frame is solid wood. It comes unfinished. I decided to stain the wood and put a couple of coats of polyurethane on it. The look of the bed came out great. Assembly was not difficult (note: follow the directions closely as you can flip pieces requiring you to do some rework). Once this was put together it exceeded my expectations. Ok, heads up, this thing is HEAVY 😅. I had to use a dolly to lug up the box two flights of stairs. The second you unpack it you'll say to yourself " mannn, that swedish company an't got nothing on these guys." This thing is well made, built to last, and you'll notice the "purpose built design " it has ( looking at you little plastic dot pieces in the tounge and groves to keep it quiet after it's built) The instructions are crystal clear, and I still turned the top headboard slats the wrong way, but it was already built and I definitely didn't wanna have to take it apart. Some tips: Use the tool provided, it's well made like the rest of the unit, and intuitive. If, like me, you wanted to try to use a drill, DON'T. JUST DONT. use the tool. Bring a bucket or bin to put the fittings in, it'll help. If you have wood floors, you might wanna swing by you favorite orange or blue big box store and get some cheap carpet sample swatches to put under the legs. If you want 100% American made , this is the bed for you. For 230 bucks with shipping, it's one helluva deal, and I can see it lasting 40 years without any issues. No hardware or missing pieces, meticulously packed, and with a 12 inch mattress , it's sits quite nice. ... show more
