I've only thrown this baitcaster for a day. I didn't really want to spend the money on expensive reels. I thought I'd just have a lot of cheap reels. I picked up another budget reel with great reviews at the same times as this one just to see if it was worth the price tag when quickly comparing them as well as compared to my other $60-80 reels. I am seriously blown away. This is by far my favorite reel and I'll be sending the budget reel back and biting the bullet and getting another of these Lew's Tournament MPs and probably a Pro when I can afford it. I never thought I'd be a guy who really cared how a reel felt in my hand, just how it performed, but this reel feels great. I love the matte finish as well as how smooth and quiet it is. It fits well in my medium sized hands. I feel spoiled now. It feels super durable and it is so easy to dial in and use quickly. I can launch this sucker, no problems. Don't hesitate if you can afford it. I can't speak to other Lew's products but I'm definitely a fan of this reel in comparison to the 5 or 6 I've tried in the 50-$200 range. I don’t think you can beat these reels for the price. Great adjustments and comfortable. Super smooth retrieve. Feels like a much more expensive reel. I’m able to get the brakes set just right for minimal birds nesting when I get lazy.
