I ordered this Levoit humidifier with confidence since I have had such good experiences with Levoit air purifiers. I first learned of Levoit when visiting a family member, who uses them in their bedrooms, and had one in the guest area where I slept. I came home and immediately ordered two in two different styles. This humidifier seems cheap coming out of the box. All plastic and light, unlike the air purifiers which are more substantial. However, for this price, I was not unhappy with that aspect and as well with it being lighter, once you put the water in it, it will be easier to cart around (not heavy at all). Very easy to use. Fill the reservoir, plug in, turn knob to desired level. That's it. I did wash mine before use as the instructions indicate. Also, don't put essential oil in this - this is not an essential oil diffuser but a humidifier. One thing is they indicate to fill to the max line and I simply cannot find a max line anywhere. I just guessed and didn't over-fill. This Levoit humidifier is super quiet. I used it in my bedroom and didn't hear it and as well there's no lights to disturb. Levoit also hasn't wet my countertop, walls, or floor. It's a very fine mist. This is great for winter months when my little log house is super dry and the air outside is very dry.
