This works great for odors. In fact, one day my roommate's part of the house smelled like used cat litter so I fired up all three of my wax scent burners as I normally do when that happens. Sometime later I noticed that I couldn't smell anything from my wax burners and couldn't understand it until I realized it had to be the air purifiers because when I use all three of the burners they really smell strong so I'm sure it was the purifiers. I first purchased a Winix air purifier and the company suggested I get one that covers more area. It covered 360 sq ft and my room is 380 so instead I ordered this additional purifier which is much smaller in size but covers 332 sq ft. I do believe that both of them work well. I suggest that you definitely want to get an air purifier that covers more space than the room you are going to use it in or two smaller ones. The only thing it doesn't do (nor does the Winix) is get rid of dog hair. In fact, with both of them I've found that they move the dog hair around the room so that it ends up settling on tables and other things which I really do not like at all but the air is nice and fresh. It keeps the cooking smells from my roommate out of my room too which is a plus. The worst thing about this one is that it is loud. I can't imagine having it on my desk or near my bed. I put it in the kitchen area of my studio apartment room which is a ways away from my bed with a wall in between and it is so loud on high that I have to turn it down to low at night. It only has high, low and sleep with no middle option. From everything I've read, I don't believe these work that well if they aren't on high. My Winix air purifier is quiet. It is next to my bed on high and has a nice white noise effect. Anyway, I'm glad I got this one and I do believe it is a quality product.

Not only is this air purifier nice and small, making it easy to move around, but it also works quite well. I like putting a few drops of essential oils (because I like the smell of citrus) and it works wonders for my room. Even when there are days I can't properly air out my room via opening the window, this thing works! I also have hay fever which means that for most of the year, I experience allergies from the weather and this helps lessen the impact. I might be sneezing anyway, but not nearly as much with this in my room. As far as noise goes? It doesn't make much noise at all, even on the highest setting. I'm pretty noise sensitive yet I sometimes forget this is even on. That's how good it is at being acceptable background noise. My mini fridge runs louder than this. If anybody gets confused about the red light that appears after about 3 months, I looked at the answers section on this product and all you have to do is hold down the power button for 5 seconds to make it go back to white after changing out your filters. I made sure to buy an extra set of those when buying this air purifier, (which does come with a set of filters) just to make sure I had them handy right when they needed changing. It has been pretty much exactly 3 months since I first got this air purifier, so I wasn't surprised the filters needed changing. Thankfully the ones compatible with this model aren't too expensive, so replacing filters in a timely manner won't do too much harm to my bank account. I generally try to be frugal while still making sure I don't skimp out on quality too much with my purchases and this air purifier has definitely fit the bill so far.
