Pros: Decent quality wood legs, tray, and shade. Arrived quickly in a compact box. Easy to assemble with good instructions and parts grouped in labelled bags. Extra parts and hex keys provided too. These can be saved in one of the bags which has a resealable top. Cons: Came with only 3 cord guides. 4 or 5 would've been ideal. Walnut finish was a bit redder and darker than the walnut finish on some of my other furniture, including other items recently bought in a similar price range. Metal bracket holding legs together is a powder coated matte gray, but appears black on the pictures (at least on my screen). Assembly Tips: Leg segment joints can wind up slightly misaligned unless you hold them in alignment while tightening screws. Cloth cord can be bent to form to the side of the lamp leg. Worth doing this as there are only 3 cord clips and they wont hold the cord completely straight on their own. ... show more

...but mostly worth it. Putting together the lamp shade required using the teeniest allen wrench I have ever seen (or basically couldn't see), and I managed to strip the screws and ended up gluing them together. I never did get the horizontal shelf to go on, but without it the legs came together beautifully and it is very sturdy. It'll be my Macgyver lamp and it was cheap enough I can live with the result. ... show more

I love it! Looks beautiful, its sturdy and it didn’t break the bank. Maybe just include one more fastener to hide the cord and it was missing one allen wrench, but thankfully I had one that fit.

I was worried about a couple of bad reviews but it surprised me how well constructed and beautiful it looks. Especially if you compare it with lamps over 300 dollars from department stores, just make sure you align everything before you tight the screws.

Yes, this takes a lot of effort to assemble. I bought one originally and then loved the look of it so I bought another to match. The first took me about an hour to assemble because of all of the tiny parts and trying to figure out what order the legs went in. The second was much easier. One thing I did notice, is that there are 3 *slightly* longer screws that are for attaching the middle shelf part! I discovered this with the second lamp after not being able to screw the first one in all the way and letting it just balance in the slots. Tips: Sort your screws before assembly. Sort the leg pieces first. Make sure you put the lamp pieces facing UP so the small screws fit in the holes properly. If you put the lamp support with the bends facing down, it will not screw in without force. While the materials are quite cheap, the overall look is nice for the price! Most floor lamps are twice this price. These have been with me through a full move and have not chipped or cracked!! Highly recommend ... show more
