Having recently gone through skin cancer treatment, I'm doing everything possible to minimize my sun exposure. My old hat didn't have enough of a brim to shade my face, shoulders, and chest,so I decided to try this hat...especially since it wasn't expensive. The brim is huge providing tons of shade - even when I am out in the open with no other shade around. It also easily folds to pack and shakes out quickly.

This hat is amazing. SUPER wide brim, but not embarrassing. Shades my face, shoulders and chest. It is moisture wicking and cooling. The only other sun hat I have is a straw hat and that thing is HOT and offers nowhere near the coverage this does. This hat is a game changer.

I was looking for a straw hat for gardening and ordered this because the description said it is straw. It's actually 100% polyester. However, it is very light and well made. The brim will give excellent sun protection. It's also adjustable unlike most hats made of straw. Fills the bill, so I'm keeping it!

Very comfortable hat. I was concerned about it flopping while I was gardening and getting in my way, but that hasn’t been an issue. It only gets snagged in trees if I’m walking underneath something low. This is a great solution for somebody looking for a full sun protection.
