The truth is.. That sun isnt nice. It does a number on your skin and if you dont watch yourself? It can get bad. I have seen 3rd degree burns that i wouldn't ever expect to see on anyone. Keeping yourself covered from the harmful rays is better. If people talk about how goofy you look? They wont understand til they are hurting abd your fine. To me? Thats fine. Say what they may. Bought this for sun protection. It works great & I've had several people tell me how much they liked it & ask where I got it. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs/wants a very wide (6") brim. Haven't washed it yet but expect it'll be easy.

This is the wide brim hat I've been looking for. This wide brim hat protects my neck, ears, and face from severe sunburn while working outdoors. Also when trimming tree branches, I'm protected from wood shavings falling in my face, ears, and neck. Finally, when I'm sweating profusely, the hat is waterproof and the sweat just beads off the material. Much better than wearing a baseball cap when working outdoors or taking a hike.
