My husband installed this beautiful light today. It’s everything I wanted. The light is not harsh at all and easy to adjust the angle. I read other reviewers mention that it doesn’t have the option to come our farther from the wall but I wouldn’t want to do that anyway. The angle of light is just right for the oil painting we purchased it to light. We are so pleased with it that I just ordered a second one for another painting. My husband installed an outlet behind the painting so the black cord doesn’t show at all. I attached the inline on/off switch to the back of our frame with adhesive Velcro dots. It’s hidden and super easy to turn off and on, no problem. It arrived quickly but the box was not in good condition, however the light was perfect and the items all there. ... show more

Used as a wall mount light over an electric piano keyboard. Flickers a little when dimmed but that may be more of an issue when reading music vs. it’s suggested application as a picture light.

I love this thing. I don't understand the complaints because it has the warmth switch inside the box, so you can set it to even 2700 which is gorgeous, and the dimmer is on the switch. The cord is long enough, the switch is low enough. Compared to others which this is a problem and you have to connect an extension cord and some of them the switch is stuck behind the painting because it's so close to the fixture. Took me forever to buy one because the others did not have all these features. Really looks amazing in the house. ... show more

Bought this as a present for my daughter to light a wall hanging. Both she and I think it is very nice looking and it works well. The wiring options are a nice addition and I choose to use the cord with plug. Highly recommend to others.

I would imagine that for smaller art work this light would be much better. My painting is 24" X 30" with a 3" frame but fails to light up the corners and the bottom half. The adjustable features limit the correct display of light in that if I raise the light the painting gets dimmer, if I rotate the light head up then the light head is visible. The light does not reach the bottom at all. Yes the installation was easy, the cord long enough but the switch was mounted too close to the plug. Well, at least the light comes on. ... show more

This picture light was just what I was seeking. It is reasonable priced, and has a sleek design that doesn’t interfere with the frame. The light is clean and bright which is important to me to illuminate my paintings, even though it is a warm white shade it doesn’t distort the colors of the paintings. The bulb is not replaceable so when it goes you’ll have to buy a whole new unit. But it’s an LED lamp so that should be in a dozen years or so. The cord is long too. That’s important of course if you have large paintings. Easy to install. My order came quickly. I will be purchasing more of these. ... show more

I bought these these lights with two purposes in mind; to highlight some of my guitars I have displayed in my music studio, and to add some additional light to the room as the ceiling fixture is a bit dim. I was able to surface mount the lamps and run the wire in a channel on my display wall. I also added a surface mount wall switch to make it easy to turn them on and off. Instead of running two sets of wires from the outlet, I drilled a second hole in one of the fixtures and ran the wires to the second light from it (doing this probably voids the warranty, so proceed with care). The adjustment range on the lights allowed me to angle most of the light on the guitars while adding some to the room. Really happy with the way it turned out! ... show more
