It's all about what you want in a Tablet to fit your lifestyle. It’s a give and take with features. My usage is about 20% work related stuff and 80% entertainment but trust me it's powerful to handle your work stuff (Pfd's, word, excel,powerpoint etc). With that said, this is a must if you like Entertainment. This was the first time i heard of QHD displays and I was blown away by the crisp details. The display is bright, rich and clean down to the last pixel. Pictures/videos are superb with rear camera @ 13MP and front @ 5 MP. Excellent for your social media life like Facebook and Instagram. To couple with that for a great experience, the sound is amazing, clean clear surround sound, it makes me feel like i'm in a Cinema.Two thumbs up for Dolby Atmos sound. Now since i use my Yoga Pro alot for entertainment i would expect that i would have to keep it plugged in most of the time but this is not so, it packs a powerful battery. The battery makes the Pro a little heavier but so what it's not a brick. Also the versatility of the kickstand why would you want to hold it, this kickstand makes it very practical and comfortable for all angles. I even use mine's on the bed with the kickstand. Now to what i thing is the best feature and the main reason i bought this tablet, the PROJECTOR. I mean right off people would see it has a projector and want to analyze the projector down to a Tee with negativity, come on guys its a projector on a tablet, you cant expect it to be the most powerful projector like an Optoma or Epson at 2000 - 3000 Lumens, it’s a 50 Lumen DLP projector. So i won't use the project in a well lit room, it shows in semi-dark room but amazing in a dark room with the same HD quality. So for all of you like me who loves to watch movies and series whether Netflix, Youtube or even Kodi this is the Tablet for you. This is your personal TV that goes with you everywhere, all the places you might not get to watch what you want or a quiet place to enjoy your series without disturbances. So no matter where you go, travelling on vacations, camping, stay over at friends or family, even when the boss is not around in work this is a great companion. Talking about the Yoga Tab 3 Pro can't suffice to seeing it in action as i learnt with friends and coworkers who were amazed and wanted the exact name to look at buying one for themselves.

This is a phenomenal device. I bought this to serve as a gaming / media device for an ailing iPad 5/Air. This is not an iPad killer, but it is killer! The unit has a good heft to it, but is not overly heavy. It's to be expected due to that battery/speaker bar. It feels comfortable in your hands in portrait orientation reading, and the Yoga stand works great for desktop and lap usage. The wall hanging mode is great for cooking in the kitchen. The speaker is pretty solid. Obviously not powerful on bass, but respectable. Better than any little speaker, but will hold up to a reasonably sized portable speaker. The battery life seems decent. My son plays a lot of games, but the battery seems to hold out well. The projector is pretty awesome, though hardly the selling point for me (wanted the bigger / better tech specs). It works well in a dark room, coupled with the speakers. The focusing is cool, and the image correction for angle is pretty impressive. I bought a 128 GB SanDisk microSD card and now have 192 GB of storage. All the content for me! I recommend you doing the same. There are a lot of complaints about the interface and bloatware... but honestly, this is Android, you don't use the default launcher (ever use a Samsung device... *shudder*). Install Google Now if you are Google focused; OneDrive and Arrow Launcher if you are Microsoft focused. If you are Apple focused you will not be happy without an iPad. The file manager, camera app and gallery apps are fine. Being able to have Kindle content, Microsoft content and Google content on one device is great. All in all, I'm very happy with the device. If you are concerned about taking a gamble (I was), don't. It's a great multi-purpose tablet and device, saves you the need to bring a lot of accessories and will impress people, tech geeks and normals alike. Go Lenovo!

Battery life is outstanding. I'm loving the little projector. I use it almost every night at home and cottage where there is no tv. Also did an outdoor movie night projected on the siding of my house. We all loved it. The speakers are great and loud. Dolby is fun. These are the main reasons I bought this tablet for. I am not sold on the smoothness of the scrolling and the color spectrum of the screen as it is not as smooth and not as vivid as my Samsung Galaxy Note 2014 10.1. Scrolling in any browser is choppy. The main controlling buttons are sometimes takes a bit to come up on the screen. Performance is over all pretty choppy compared to my much older tablet with nearly the same specs. I however will keep it as the battery life and projector makes up for all that. I Will give it one and a half thumb up! :-)

As you look at it, it is gorgeous, the specs are amazing!, only problem i had with it was that it couldn`t keep a charge more than 4 hours, and with wifi off screen light at minimum. when i search on the internet to see a solution for the battery not keeping a charge more than 4 hours i find that it`s a well known issue with this specific tablet, the operating system only sees the battery as being 4.300 Mah, and not 10200 Mah, there are some work arounds like rooting the device and installing some apps to make the CPU not work constantlly are 100%, oh and the light sensor also drains battery!, don`t forget to switch off that one. I didn`t want to root the device, i wanted it to be what it was advertised but it seems this is not the case after almost 2 months since i recieved the tablet, i had it for maximum of 2 weeks, because recievieng the tablet and sending it back to amazon took more than 1 month!. Amazon accepted my refund, at first they wanted me to pay for the transport and not 100% refund only 80% because they said the return windows has been closed, i talked with some other person and told them that i won`t pay for anything because i payed for something that is not working as advertised, they told me that they understand the situation and that i shall recieve a full refund, after almost 20 days since i sent the tablet back i recieved today an email from them stating that i shall recieve 80% of the cost, i was amazed, when i asked them why ?, same story with the 30 days return window, i told them ok, " repacking fees ", ok in the box i had the tablet a case for the tablet and the micro sd 128 GB card that i bought specifically for this tablet, i returned everything like they told me to and now i get an email telling me i wont recieve a full refund ?, i talked with an representative again and told him that i understand that they have these fees ... take from the case of the tablet and the micro sd card the " fees " give the value back 80%, but on the tablet i expect to recieve 100%, the tablet was the problem, the conversation took more than 1 hour and the only thing he told me was the same thing with 30 days return ... , they should get the repacking fees from lenovo since they don`t care that they are selling something and it`s not working as advertised.

I bought the 4GB memory and 64GB storage with projector. You have to use the projector in a dark room. You can't see the projector in a lit room. I just hung up a white bed sheet for the screen and works great. Incredible sound quality. Excellent battery life. I can play games up to 8 hours on a single charge. I've played some games with intense graphics and it doesn't glitch a bit. I added an sd card and formatted for internal storage. It will read the contents of a regular 2.0 USB stick only if you order a special adapter extension. The one I'm using is (https://www.amazon.com/Rankie-Female-Adapter-Convertor-3-Pack/dp/B00YOX4JU6/ref=sr_1_1?crid=GROQS1VD6GJ&keywords=rankie+r-1170&qid=1568429465&smid=A30RZ9QSF1YIPM&sprefix=R-1170%2Caps%2C132&sr=8-1). It struggles with external hard drives and I can't seem to get my 2TB external hard drive to work. The micro USB port doesn't have enough power to run it. I've only watched movies using the (VLC Media player) for Android which can be downloaded from the Play store. I'm not running into any apps that won't work. I've got a ton of stuff and all is working well. I like this tablet better than my old Lenovo Tab 4 8". No problems with Wi-Fi. Bluetooth headphones or speakers work great and sync up nicely. I'm glad I got the 4Gb version instead of the 2GB because I like gaming. This one also has Android 6.0.1 preinstalled. Only difficulty I had was trying to get my old sd card transferred to this one. I never did succeed and it was due to the fact that I didn't have the right card reader. You can't just put your old card into the tablet's built in slot. It will recognize it and give you the only 2 choices which are to format it as external storage or internal. I ended up purposely formatting my old one and starting over since I backed up my data to Google drive previously. Yes I would recommend this tablet if you want a workhorse.

Am I keeping it? Yes. Can I recommend it? Not really. Based on my experience with this tablet, I would say steer clear of Lenovo products in general. Some of the hardware here is great, and the projector and sound system are unique. In Android, of course, unique hardware and the unique firmware it requires mean unique glitches. The audio processing creates distorted audio in some games whether Atmos is turned on or off, and seems to cut in and out in Audible. With Atmos off, the stereo speakers on my HTC phone outperform this tablet, but with Atmos the sound quality is closer to a TV than a tablet. I've been using the projector and speakers extensively as a bedroom TV, and it's a solid experience. The one big drawback is, Android in general and the big streaming apps in particular are less than remote friendly, and while there are great Android-to-Windows remote apps out there, the selection of Android-to-Android remotes is poor. The one that might be serviceable, Teamviewer, is not supported on this tablet. Performance is smooth overall and adequate to most anything you would try to do on Android, but doesn't live up to the advertised specs. Battery life has been a particular disappointment for many users of all the Tab 3 models. Actual screen time is good on mine, something like 9 hours of media and browsing or 4 hours of gaming, but the thing bleeds power in standby. Leave it sitting for more than two days, and it will be dead. In general, Lenovo went overkill on all hardware but optimized nothing. Again, it's adequate with no showstopping lag or bugs, but if your main concerns are performance and stability, look elsewhere. For me, a large, greater-than-HD screen was a priority, and adding one more use case (the projector as bedroom TV) was a big factor in whether a tablet was worth having at all. Comics on the QHD display have been great, as has Netflix, YouTube, Hulu and local media on the projector. I've even been playing some mobile games, despite being a "serious gamer." The stand is handy, and I do use the hanger to mount the tablet over my bed and project on the opposite wall. Build quality of the aluminum chassis is maybe a little too solid - you could gouge furniture pretty good with the corners of the stand. Lenovo skinning and bloatware are minimal, which is good, because it's unlikely we'll see much support for root, ROMs or other volunteer dev efforts on this pricey, niche device. So again, if the projector is a big enough draw, the tablet will be adequate for everything else. Maaaaaaaybe the Plus would be worthwhile if you really want that screen, but I would probably look at other brands with a better record for support and optimization. UPDATE 18 August 2018: Over a year and a half later, the news is no news. None of the above issues have been fixed, Lenovo stopped updating the device a few months after release, and there are no custom ROMs (there is root). But, I'm still using the tab, and no new issues have cropped up. It's still an awesome comic reader, Reddit is Fun is outstanding on this screen, and the projector is still a serviceable big screen. I'm back here today because I was looking at one of those Anker Nebula projectors on sale, and landed on, "Nah, I'm good." I've considered a lot of TVs in the past year, too, and declined.

Bought as a gift couldn't believe how good it was. The build and quality exceeded expectations. The projector was really cool could watch movies on the wall like having a 60 inch TV. This is so good I kept it it and bought another gift to replace it. Long lasting battery amazing sound quality front speakers better than Samsung or apple can't believe how good they are. There is nothing you can't do with this device. Great for holidays download movies then watch at your leisure using the wall as a 60 inch TV. It even has a built in stand that's adjustable or you can hang it on the wall. Lovely aluminium body ,it's a no brainer buy one it's half the price of an iPad you won't be disappointed .

I wanted so badly to love this tablet, but the dated Android 6.0 plus the horrendous battery life (on standby) made it a dud. I really hope Lenovo comes out with an updated Pro model with better software support. First for the good. The screen is absolutely stunning, the sound is the best I've heard for a tablet, the microsd slot is a nice bonus, and the projector is convenient and not all that terrible quality for laying in bed and projecting to your ceiling. Really if you wanted a standalone pico projector to just watch movies in bed without any cables or any hassles, this wouldn't be a bad choice - though for $350 you can get a better quality pico projector. The bad, well there's a lot at this price point. First, battery life, even on standby, is terrible. It would drain 10-15% overnight without any useage. Any of the attempted "fixes" didn't help with this drain. Otherwise straight usage without the projector also drained about 1% or so every couple of minutes. - least to say there was no way of reaching their claimed 14 hours much less over 10 hours. Second, and I also think this affected battery life, was the old Android 6.0 OS. Android 6 is on its last legs and some apps in the Play Store already have issues running on the old OS and will crash (i.e. Amazon). Kudos that Lenovo didn't fill up the OS with too much bloatware, but they also haven't released enough of the source code for others to create a custom rom (with a working projector). Sure you can root it, but it doesn't really do much as you are still stuck with Android 6.0. Lastly, it still uses microUSB as its charging port. They did a refresh of the unit in 2017 or so and didn't bother putting in USB-C… why… the file transfers and charging (if not using their specific charger) is super slow. Could I hope for a Tab 4 Pro with USB-C, stock/Lineage Android (or Windows with a full-sized USB :D) plus that projector? That would be such a Surface Go killer right there.
