Even though it is "used" - you really can't tell. I don't often buy refreshed/renewed/used products, but I can say that this one is definitely worth it. It looks very good, and everything runs great. The finish on the LCD cover is a bit weird - I think they sprayed some sort of covering to hide scratches, but you get used to it. I bought this renewed ThinkPad P50 from SupremeDealsCR. Apparently this reseller put a trashy plastic stick-on film on the laptop's case to hide defects. Another reviewer reported that their laptop came with the same thing so it must be a standard treatment for this reseller. The plastic film is shiny and already starting to peal off so it's easy to see. I have a couple other P50's so I know the case is normally a matte finish with a nice soft touch. The laptop came with 8 GB of RAM and 16 GB was advertised. When I first started Windows it said the hard drive has errors that need to be fixed. The Recycle Bin was corrupted and I couldn't log in as the USER. The laptop came with a note saying please contact us before you return it to Amazon. Their contact number has been disconnected. Since it doesn't act like a fresh install I don't trust it so I would need to reinstall Windows if I was going to keep it but I'm returning it. I can fix the software issues and the missing RAM but the plastic film is ugly and makes me worried. You don't want to find out the used car you just bought has had a fresh coat of paint the dealer didn't tell you about. I've bought renewed stuff from Amazon before. Mostly I've been happy but this one was a miss. ... show more

This laptop works well. I can play games also ! After wasting money on cheap laptops i only Buy Lenovo now. Internal speakers are not good, I bluetooth to an external speaker.

    • Needed work, but now it’s great!
I got it in a condition where I couldn’t download a thing. I had to personally reinstall the entire OS in order for anything to work. Also had to run a ton of updates. But now it works! Just wish all that work was done before I received it.
