    • Nice laptop--but needed some extra work
I am updating my review of this computer. It worked for a few weeks and right about the time for the return window to close, it started to run like a hoover vacuum cleaner. I checked the temps and they were okay. I checked Lenovo website support for an issue with fan and it is known. Since it is under warranty, I sent it off to Lenovo and they were able to fix the problems with the fan and also the wifi. If you have this computer, make sure to review the critical updates on the Lenovo updates site. Now it is working again like Lenovo Thinkpad should.     • wifi card continues to disconnect randomly
The media could not be loaded. The wifi card on this model continues to go out randomly. I have an old laptop that I can test the Lenovo against, so I know it's not a ISP or general wifi issue. This specific laptop has a terrible wifi card that won't stay connected. I've provided video with a side by side comparison against my old Dell Inspiron for reference. I'm a Mac user but needed a Windows box for motorcycle analysis software which does not run on Macs. The Windows 11 experience is heinous but that has little to do with this laptop. It's well made and has tons of RAM. Compared to my 16GB RAM MacBook Pro from 2015, its seems no faster and a tad less reliable owing to all the stupid Windows updates but again, the laptop itself is nice and well made. You won't regret the purchase decision....just the Windows one. ... show more
