This provides that and the plant have already reacted with new leaf growth. I ordered the warm light rather than the brighter color - the light is very bright but the warm yellow color of it prevents it from glaring. The light does not get too hot even though it's on 12 hours each day. The disc provided for the base is heavy enough to keep the 5 foot tall fixture stable. UPDATE: Barrina reached out to me and offered to fix the issue. This speaks well of their customer service. Needless to say. I'm happy. As originally stated, the light is great. It's bright and pleasing to the eye, not that annoying yellow that makes me feel as if I need to turn off the lights. I LOVE these lights and will definitely order again in the future. The light itself is great. However, I choose to order this one because I could extend the height as my Monstera grows. According to the description, it is supposed to have two extension pieces. I only have one. Amazon has been great trying to assist, however the contact info for the seller does not work. I just want my other piece :-( ... show more
