It's been about a year and now the cord to charge it has become finicky. I have to twist and turn the cord/laptop to get it to charge. That's annoying. Aside from that it performs quite well. As the title suggests, this laptop/notebook is a small, powerful, laptop. One surprising thing is that it is heavy which to me suggests a rugged device. It is certainly not flimsy. My one regret is that it does not have a touchscreen. I am used to the touchscreen with my dell latitude and my Asus laptop. it turns out, though, my wife never uses the touchscreen, and is perfectly OK with this machine. Nice little computer, very light, and seems to be fine for what it is. Booted right up. Had no issues connecting to wifi, and battery life seems fine so far. The screen was really dirty and smeared with something but it cleaned up ok. The only real issue I've encountered at this point is that the SD card reader doesn't work. That's a big problem since I bought it to use to transfer photos from my camera's SD card to an external hard drive. I'll just use an external SD card reader, but wish I didn't have to do that.     • The keys are very difficult to press and not all working.

The laptop keys are not functioning properly and as a results words are not completed. Some keys stick Eg the delete key almost erased all the work as was trying to do. Some keys are not working at all. It’s frustrating.The screen is clear and satisfactory.

I don't know the first thing about computers. I started online college and needed a computer and this has been good enough for everything I need. It's never been slow or had any issues. It doesn't come with Microsoft Office but I had that through my school, but some people might need to know that. I haven't used it yet, but it does have a webcam. Probably not a very helpful review, but if you just need a laptop that can do everything for basic needs I think it's really fast and good at that. ... show more

I purchased this refurbished Lenovo laptop for my wife to surf the web and get her email. Upon arrival, the keyboard is really cheap feeling. The key action varies greatly from key to key. The display hinges are also very cheap. If the display gets pushed past vertical, it just falls over. I often run my laptop with the display slightly past vertical, to reduce reflected glare. That is not possible with this laptop. My wife was OK with it, so we kept the laptop. Having some free time recently, I decided to create a system image and a recovery drive, in case the laptop crashes. Trying to create a system image, I receive the following error: "The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted. (0x800703ED)." I am using a known good HDD. I have created weekly backups on other PCs using this drive. The laptop can see and access the drive, but cannot create a system image. Next, I try to create a recovery drive. I receive the following error: "We can’t create a recovery drive on this PC. Some required files are missing. To troubleshoot problems when your PC can’t start, use your Windows installation disc or media." This is using a known good Sandisk USB drive. The laptop was not delivered with any windows installation media. I suspect the windows software on this laptop is pirate-ware. It does not function properly. Bottom line: The refurbishment used cheap components. The Windows pirate-ware is buggy. I'm now outside the return window, so this cheap garbage cannot be returned. When this laptop crashes, it will have to go straight to the recycling bin, as the 2 primary recovery tools do not function. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! ... show more
