  • Nice system for the money. I have now bought 3.
Update 11/5: so I have bought two more since and they can from different sellers. I will still stand with 5-stars as all systems were clean and overall I am happy with their refurbishing. They all needed different amounts up updating (which I expected) and took anywhere between 1-3 hours to get all updated with several reboots and what software needed to be loaded via download. That is not bad. Boot time is quick and these will definitely be good for years to come. I use the display ports with an HDMI adapter without issue. From what i can see they may not meet the requirements for Windows 11....but honestly for what they are used for, Windows 10 is well supported and not an issue. Not much else to add and so far so good! Original review: Arrived on time and I have bought refurbished systems before. We'll packaged and came with a power cord and a basic corded keyboard and mouse. After unpacking I opened up the case and it was clean inside....didn't look around much but did have a new HDD. It uses the display port connections and I did have adaptors already from the previous system that was in use to convert to HDMI....fired it up and it boots fast. Went through the setup and then took the time to update Windows 10 and also all of the supporting drivers as well. Due to the reboots and my schedule, I had it up to date by the end of the day. Loaded a handful of programs, transferred files, as well as some downloaded apps....off and running. Everything works great and I still am surprised how much faster an i7 machine is compared to an i5....just night and day. There were some minor scuffs in the paint which looks like it was from multiple units packed together without any packing material-- that is most likely how they received it and besides that which is nothing at all....no dents, dings, or any other marks. If more are available.... Going to pick up at least one or two more. ... show more

  • Great deal for the price
In a new PC you are probably looking for 16 mb of Ram, although you can might get by with 8, a 512 GB SSID hard drive although you can probably get by with 256 if you are comfortable saving your work in the cloud, and an i7 processor in the most recent iteration. You are also probably looking for Windows 10 pro. I don't know how close this is to the latest generation of i7 but the rest of it is really awesome. I don't know much about graphics but this plays Amazon Prime movies to a 28 inch monitor with no issues. It does not have a high bar to beet because I was running a refurbished Lenovo desktop with XP with 4 MG of ram. The old one did not wear out but it was slow and windows quit supporting XP a long time ago. This can reboot, start to finish, in 21 seconds. I think that the speed is due partly to the solid state drive which is also quiet. And the whole box does not generate very much heat. Fastest machine I have ever had for about 384 dollars tax included. I have been running this for about a week. No problems. Set up was easy. I would buy another one, but I don't need it. ... show more

  • Seems Like A Good Value Overall
Ok, this is my first refurbished computer purchase. So far I am satisfied. The first thing to know is that these appear to be about 5 years old and just out of warranty (at least mine is). That said, I was able to register the device at Lenovo and download driver updates. Initial startup was without issue and suggested a clean (already registered) Windows 10 load. Before I did anything else I downloaded Norton 360 and Malwarebytes. Norton came back clean but there were two items found on malware scan and quarantined. I then used the Cipher command to triple clean all blank space on the hard drive, just in case. After that, Windows updates run and Lenovo driver updates. The casing does not appear to be 5 years old (no smell and only minor wear indications). Inside the unit is clean and dust free. The hard drive and CPU fan appear to be new and the RAM likely is as well. (Appears to have two more spare slots if you want to add more RAM). With an I7 processor and confirmed 512gb HD it is fast and very quiet. (So much so that I had to check to make sure the fan is running). OVERALL: You are getting a $900 to $1000 computer for a third or less. With refurb you are making certain sacrifices. but at least so far they do not appear to be serious. Unless it dies in the near future unexpectedly, I anticipate getting 3 to 5 years out of this unit, perhaps more. (The Gateway Quad Core it replaced lasted 13 years and was still running but so slow that it was time to upgrade). ... show more

  • Snappy and Clean PC!
This Lenovo was actually refurbished! Opening it up and everything is whistle-clean and quiet. The case is in great condition, too. There were no feet for the case - just put some sticky feet on from the hardware section any local store. The packaging was secure and there was no damage upon delivery. Shipping was super-fast! From first boot until several day in, I have not suffered a single glitch or error. Win10 Pro activated properly. The drivers loaded cleanly. They even included a wireless USB wifi adapter - I was not expecting this. I bought a cheap-ish DisplayPort to HDMI cable and the HP VH240a monitor I bought looks great, too. There are cheaper, slower refurbs available - but, I have nothing negative to say about this purchase. ... show more

  • Dead in 6 month
Bought it in May 2023 and dead in October 2023. Work well when it was good. Fast and good for regular use. But it only last for 6 months. the Hard drive is dead. Try to fix the computer by changing the hard drive but it seems that the power supply unit is also broken. Now need to change PSU as well. Too many hassle. ... show more
