Ordené esta mini PC con pocas esperanzas. Había leído algunas opiniones y dudé acerca de esta compra. Cuando llegó, lo primero que hice fue tomar fotos para documentar lo que estaba recibiendo. Disculpen lo borrosas que pueden estar las fotos. Noté que no tiene un disco SATA, mecánico o SSD. Incluye una unidad NVME de 250GB. Ignoro si es nuevo. De todas modos, había ordenado una unidad NVME de 500GB para instalar el sistema operativo. Incluye la bandeja para la unidad SATA, que pienso llenar con una unidad SSD de 1TB. Debajo encontré que tenía la tarjeta de Wi-Fi. No he probado que tenga Bluetooth. El único inconveniente es que le falta la antena y las arandelas y tuercas que sujetan el cable al chasis. Pero habiendo otros recibido una unidad USB para esta misma función, para mi no es un problema. El paquete incluye además un teclado y ratón con la marca del vendedor. No esperaba que los incluyeran. De todas maneras tengo los míos, así que los dejaré pendientes en caso que alguien los necesite. Al encender la PC fue directo a la configuración de Windows 10, sin problemas. Aún sin la antena, detectó mi señal de Wi-Fi. Incluye Windows 10 Pro. De todas maneras instalé Windows 11 24H2 en la unidad nueva de manera limpia; no actualización. Se montó de mi pen drive sin problemas. El abanico es silencioso. Solo verifique que funcionara la PC y que funcionara el abanico. Espero que dure. Actualización 1 Luego de Instalar Windows 11 Pro, descubrí que el procesador no era el anunciado. En lugar del Intel I5-8500T, era el Intel I5-8400T. Esto no es culpa del vendedor, por que imagino comprará todas estas PC's en lote. Pero debe ser un poco cuidadoso. Una cosa que he notado es que cuando enciendo esta PC, el segundo disco, Kingston SATA de 900 GB no es detectado por Windows, ni aparece en la BIOS. ¿Necesitará una actualización de la BIOS? Actualización 2 Compre un adaptador 3.5" SATA para mi M.2 SSD SATA de 1TB. Parece que trabaja mejor. Sin embargo no he causado la condición que causa que no reconozca la segunda unidad de almacenamiento: un restart. Pero de suceder de nuevo, por lo menos tengo un procedimiento para restablecerlo. Ir al BIOS y cargar los ajustes optimizados. Si no ocurre, entonces tendré que lidiar con parchar la unidad Kingston. ... show more

This thing caught my attention right out of the box; it's a brick, built like a tank ... don't let the compact design of the Lenovo ThinkCentre M720Q mislead you because it feels substantial and robust enough to withstand any VM workload you put on it. This mini PC definitely stands out from typical lightweight models because of its sturdy construction. I totally skipped the Windows boot process. The first time I powered on the device I moved directly to the BIOS to tweak a couple of things and then installed Proxmox without ever accessing the Windows desktop. The system operated flawlessly from the start without any driver problems or network complications. I'm running four VMs on the M720Q with no problems whatsoever. This thing is cool and quiet, too. The M720Q delivers exceptional value to users who are starting up or adding to a home lab to manage their VMs or operate lightweight services, things like media servers (Plex or Jellyfin) and Docker containers. The device operates with high power efficiency and takes up minimal space in my closet (which needs to be vented.) The device fits perfectly into both server closets and desk spaces. The M720Q stands as an excellent recommendation for anyone who needs a dependable mini PC whether they are a tinkerer or homelabber or simply want a solid mini PC. ... show more

It gets hot (80c+) in an open-air environment. Since it gets that warm, the tiny fan in it ramps up and becomes annoying.

The computer and accessories came in a large box with a lot of space to move around in, but bubble wrap was used around the computer itself at least. It was a little scratched on the outside and the included power supply. There was a thin layer of dust on the internal fan and motherboard and the BIOS was a 3 years outdated, but all 3 were easy enough to fix on my own. So I just received the computer yesterday and I’m not sure what to say. The computer did come with a (used mouse) (new keyboard), the computer itself which I wouldn’t classify as excellent condition more like good. One thing I noticed after getting everything connected is that the computer is real slow. The advertisement says the 8500T ad the processor clocked at 2.1ghz/3.5 and 16GB of RAM. 3.5ghz should not be on this advertisement because the 8500T comes at 2.4ghz and the ram was the wrong MHz ram which I’m sure is contributing to the sluggishness. The specifications for this computer from Lenovo specifically state that this computer is supposed to have DDR4 SODIMM 2666MHz not DDR4 2133MHz. Not really satisfied but we’ll see if I can figure things out of if the seller is willing to do anything. ... show more
