    • So Much Faster Than My Dell!
About 18 months ago, I bought a Dell Optiplex 7100 (Renewed), what a piece of junk! I would have to turn it on, then do something else for about 20 minutes, and maybe it would be ready to start working. The percentage of time the hard disk was processing read or write requests was always near or at 100%. I only paid about $270 for the dell, but it was still a waste of money. Restarts after Windows updates would also take forever. So I decided to try this Lenovo because I had heard good things. Well I was not disappointed! Soooo much faster on startup, about 20 seconds BIOS time. Photoshop and Acrobat load in about 5 seconds. I had to do several updates as soon as I plugged everything in, and the process was fast and painless, what a nice change from the Dell. Bought this to upgrade from an HP spectre laptop I'd been using as my main home computer. This feels noticeably faster, and for the price I don't think you can find better specs. Amazon refurbished + Asurion = scam I have been sending this back to Asurion over and over and the only thing they do is reinstall windows. Avoid this vendor, refurbished items, and Asurion.

Packaged arrived via USPS yesterday evening. Waited until next morning to hook it up. Processed went very smooth without and delays. Overall, up to now, I'm very satisfied with this purchase. Will take a little time to get used to this different version of Windows. They sure try to get you to sign up for those Apps don't they? As an 81 year old , I'm just not interested Apps so I dismissed every part of them during the startup process. Did get a little nervous when I heard a sound of something that may have come loose, but it did not amount to any thing at all. So far so good. Reason for the rating, there was no Instruction Manual included, but I got passed that by downloading a pdf copy from Lenovo. Well that's all I have for now.     • If you're going to use this as WiFi, you'll have to go elsewhere to buy an antenna... none provided
The computer works great, but trying to use it using the built in wifi is a challenge without the small external antenna that screws onto the back of the unit. You'll have to go somewhere else to buy the antenna. I know that Lenovo ships them new with the antennas. I mentioned this to the seller, JSComputers and they said that if I wanted to use it via wifi, I would have to go buy one. I buy these and set them up for my customers.
