I love me some Le Creuset. If I had lots of money, I'd own a lot more of their stuff, from pots and pans to tea cups, etc. In fact, I'm really bummed that Le Creuset stopped making their special tea mugs, but that's a story for a different day. Today is all about the 20 oz. Le Creuset Stoneware Signature Oil Cruet in the famous Marseille blue color. So why do you need an oil cruet? The answer is that you don't need it. I made it a significant way through life without ever having one. But then I got one and I absolutely love it. I cook with oil a lot. So much that I don't put it away between meals because it's just more efficient to have it handy. While that's fine with a small bottle of oil, if you buy bigger bottles, you don't want a 32 oz. jug of olive oil living and taking up space on your counter. You need something to which to store your smaller portion, like this cruet. It holds 20 oz., which is just the perfect size to cover you for several meals and it's easy to handle the bottle. It has a good heft to it, so you aren't going to accidentally knock it over just by touching it. It comes with a stopper and pour spout that keeps everything nice and neat. Best of all, it just looks great--so much nicer than a bottle with a label on it. Nice stoneware with a beautiful blue finish. It comes other colors as well, so you can match it to your kitchen decor. It also keeps you oil out of sunlight and at a relatively stable temperature (unless you put it next to a heat source, which you should never do anyway), so it really preserves the taste of your oil. The best things about this Le Creuest olive oil dispenser are that it doesn't leak and it's dark so the oil isn't spoiled by sunlight or our under-cabinet lighting. Aside from those two things, it holds a substantial amount of olive oil and looks great! You could easily have this on display in your kitchen if you wanted bc it looks so nice and it's sturdy and thick stoneware so the temperature inside isn't going to fluctuate much. We tried to other dispensers before getting this one and the first leaked all the time at the spout and the second wasn't large enough so I was constantly running out. ... show more

Wasn't broken, well boxed. The nozzle is quite snug, almost feels too snug, but it is silicone around steel, so just very secure fit, but won't break. If you have hand strength issue or are older, might feel too difficult to remove or like it will break, but trust it. Beautiful ceramic cruet, consistent in color with other sea salt color items in the series. Nice quality. The stop cap has hinges that fit on easily to the stem. It flips when rotating the bottle downward for pouring. To fill it with oil or vinaigrette the spout is removed by pulling upward and gently rocking side to side to release the pressure created by the silicon comb. Nice looking piece of kitchen equipment. But stopper/pour spout are not great. If you try and line up the metal collar with the mouth of the bottle the stopper pulls right into the inside of the bottle. This needs to be redesigned.
