    • A great purchase that gets even better with the Decky lossless scaling plugin
I've been using this almost daily for over a year now and it's been great. I bought this to replace my LCD Steam Deck in 2025. The screen on this is beautiful and noticeably bigger than the steam deck's LCD screen. The VRR feature made a HUGE difference, as well. When comparing this to the Steam Deck, you wouldn't think the performance would be a big step up. But, it is. Games that struggled on the Steam Deck run smooth on this, and if you go through the steps of installing the Decky LSFG-VK, this thing becomes a BEAST. I just played 80 hours of Forza Horizon 6 on this thing at a very stable 60fps and 1080p resolution and mostly high settings by using the Decky lossless scaling plugin. It's also worth noting that you can upgrade the SSD if you're comfortable taking apart electronics. It wasn't as easy as upgrading the SSD in the Steam Deck, but it's doable. Just be extra careful and follow a guide. ... show more

    • Not that great as present. Price too high
Presented as a great gadget to play on the go, however you will not be able to play desired all games such as roblox on this little thing. Too much money...for nothing Invest your money in good gaming computer or laptop.

    • Great Gaming Device!
I do love this thing so much, if you are looking for something with a lot of flexibility, having a windows operating system works great. Epic Games, Electronic Arts Games, Steam Games, Microsoft Games, XBOX Games, you name it. The battery life is terrible but being someone that doesn't need to travel with it, I keep it next to an outlet. Occasionally there are glitches and it needs a restart but I think that's just Lenovo or Windows as I've experienced that with Laptops. It's a powerhouse regardless, it doesn't overheat with games which was something I heavily researched and wanted a device specifically that had a well-rounded ability to regulate its own temperature. What I love is the ability to hook it up to an HDMI cord and attach to my TV. It has great customizability with the buttons depending on what game you are playing, you can map the buttons to your liking. I would say purchase this at a discount when it is on sale, it is the best bang for your buck. ... show more

    • Great for casual gaming
Review Image by OdobenusRosmarus
Overall, I'm really happy with the Legion Go S. Performance is about what I'd expect from a handheld PC, and it's been running everything we've wanted to play without any major issues. The battery life has also been better than I expected, especially for a handheld gaming PC. The screen quality is excellent too—it's sharp, colorful, and looks great. I usually lower the resolution when I'm gaming because I prefer higher frame rates, and Lenovo makes that incredibly easy with the included software and performance tools. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the memory. The advertised 8 GB is shared between system RAM and VRAM, so you don't actually get 8 GB dedicated to either. It wasn't a dealbreaker for us, but I do wish that had been made a little clearer. Other than that, it's been a great purchase. My wife mainly plays cozy games on it, and it handles them without any problems. It's become our evening routine to relax on the couch and play games together, and this has been perfect for that. If you're looking for a handheld for lighter games or just want something comfortable to play on around the house, I'd definitely recommend it. Just keep the shared memory setup in mind before buying. ... show more

    • Solid handheld gaming PC (since Steam Decks are sold out)
Just got this and, even though Lenovo has released (albeit WAY more expensive) newer models, this 2025 model is still solid! The setup process with Microsoft will take about an hour, but, once it's done, it works like a charm. Apparently, it's possible to download and install Steam OS on this (and some models come with Steam OS), but, since I've had no trouble with the Windows OS, I will keep Windows to avoid the hassle of making any serious mistakes that will ruin my device. One minor problem, the battery life is what you would expect from all handheld gaming devices... it's not great when not plugged it. You'll be lucky to get 3 hours on one charge. Lenovo does, however, offer a 1-year warranty on this, so that's a plus. I purchased an extended warranty through Asurion on Amazon to help in case anything happens to this device outside of coverage and after the Lenovo warranty expires. Update (a few months later): I ended up installing SteamOS on this and getting rid of Windows. Much better experience! Windows wasn't a huge problem, BUT Windows makes you HAVE to have a way to log in (such as a pin, for security). The problem, though, is that it would load applications during the login screen, and the apps would be "invisible" on top of the login screen. Therefore, making it so I couldn't type in my pin to log in. (I had to restart over and over until it let me login by letting me use the touch screen.) SteamOS fixed all of this, AND it is super easy to install on this device (a simple YouTube video with a few easy steps)! Update 2 (another month later after Update 1): Steam Decks are officially on sale again. BUT they are the two newer, higher-end models. This one is the equivalent of the lower end model. Basically, the same thing in terms of specifications. ... show more

Write and performed according to expectations. Great for playing older games, struggles past 60 without software help in newer games, but certainly worth for a decent gaming session

    • Legion Go S: An Awesome Device with Disappointing Flaws
The Lenovo Legion Go S is a powerful and premium handheld gaming device. Its high-quality build and vibrant display deliver an awesome gaming experience, handling demanding titles with top-tier performance. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm is tempered by two significant issues. The placement of the two USB-C ports is a major letdown; they are frustratingly close together, making it nearly impossible to use two accessories at once, a baffling design choice that severely limits the device's potential. Furthermore, the battery life is disappointingly short, often requiring a charge after just a couple of hours of moderate gaming. For a device built for portability, this is a serious drawback. These flaws are more than minor annoyances; they are significant frustrations that prevent the Legion Go S from being a truly flawless device. While its raw power and quality are undeniable, these two issues make me hesitate to recommend it without a strong warning ... show more
