Great little scope for the money. Shipped quickly (about 24 hours to my door!) The picture quality is very good, resolution too. I wish it had a little lower magnification setting for seeing more of a subject at a time. I was able to move two lenses from my Olympus clinical microscope to this unit (turret has two empty slots available - very happy that they were a standard opening) - this high quality glass made it look even better. On the down side, it's built kinda wimpy - any vibrations transfer directly to the image resulting in a lot of shaking. It settles down, but anything makes it wiggle. Bought this for my grandson to explore a bit. The platform is very shaky and difficult to focus…he gave up pretty quickly. Now I use it for work but, I certainly wouldn’t buy another one

…this is a great device. My only complaint is that the plastic base is shaky, and the slide up and down is not smooth. But once you get yourself zeroed in on something, the view is incredible.

    • Instructions are terrible, but once setup it works great.

You can tell the instructions are translated as they do not make much sense at all. One wire has 3 plugs, USB for microscope, plus for microscope lights, and USB to PC. You CANNOT use this wire for everything if you want to transmit via USB as well. You need to use the separate single USB to transmit the picture. So, use the 3 wire to power JUST the lights via one USB port on your PC, then use the other wire to go from the microscope screen to a separate USB port on the PC. So you'll need 2 available USB ports to both power the lights, and then power/transmit the microscope screen. Or, you can use the included HDMI cable to transmit to a TV. But, almost all PCs do not have an HDMI input, so this wire will not work to connect to PC. But, there's a way around this with extra equipment. If you use a capture card, such as one normally used for video gaming, you can use the capture card to convert the HDMI to a USB connection. This is pretty much the same concept as using 2 separate USB cables as mentioned above, but is a other option if needed. ... show more

the scope has great lenses and the magnification and clarity is very good once set and let it stable. Everything is more interesting once magnified. My 7yo loves it. Unfortunately, it is very (and I mean VERY) hard to adjust. The whole thing would shakes at the slightest touch at anywhere on the scope. It makes it impossible for my boy to get a clean zoom on anything. ... show more
