Love it for my simple tasks, visibility and mobility

I'm loving this little tablet. I didn't but it for anything super power-intensive, so I don't know how it performs for like, media production or gaming, but it is crushing it's new role as my crochet buddy. As I get older, my eyes are not cooperating and reading patterns on my tiny phone screen is rough, but I don't always want to be tethered to my desktop, so this is perfect. My favorite thing about it is how easy it was to set up since my phone is an android. It transferred everything, including saved passwords (thank you Android) so getting into apps and sites was quick and easy after unboxing. It came with a case and stylus. I haven't used the stylus much, but it seems nice just from playing around. I'm glad it had a case with it, but I may shop for one that's a little more stable when propped up- the fold+magnet set up works but it can get knocked over pretty easily and doesn't stay upright on uneven surfaces. The screen is bright and clear, and the battery lasts days for me (albeit with just a few hours of use each day). I have watched full movies on it and both audio and video were great, so I'm excited to get to take it on trips with me for airport entertainment. I would absolutely buy this again, and I'm payched that I got such a quality product on sale (it was like $50 off during one of Amazon's summer sales). ... show more

Happy, Happy, Happy

This is a excellent Android tablet, big screen but not to big, light weight, great quality for the money, excellent speed, touch sensitivity on screen...and so on. My wife loves it and is not a tech person, since getting this device she has not had one complaint. Happy wife, Happy life.

I have only had this tablet for a few days and I am already in love with it. Very smooth, no lag , very bright , big screen and clear screen, so far so good on the durability and versatility. Tablet works for my needs like watching tv, looking up gaming information and surfing the web. Love the case and pen, good to have to keep everything together and protected. I've been a Samsung tablet user for a long time. However, the last one I bought was in August 2018, an 8" Tab A. I used it mostly for reading ebooks. I also had a Galaxy NotePRO (12.2" display, S Pen) from 2017 that replaced an ancient laptop "brick". Given the age of these devices, it's no surprise that they were painfully slow compared to today's offerings. About a year ago, I replaced my 2012 Windows 8.1 AIO with a Windows 11 Lenovo AIO unit and my 2017 Windows 10 laptop with a Lenovo unit. The new items are equipped with excellent processors and packed with lots of RAM to be able to support demanding photo processing. I've been happy with both of these units so I decided to look at Lenovo tablets. In general, I was looking for an inexpensive tablet to serve as an ebook reader, handle general web surfing, and perform some light spreadsheet and document work, i.e., no heavy lifting. It also had to allow memory expansion via microSD cards. At the end of the day, the Idea Tab Plus checked all the boxes for me. I chose one that has 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM and added a 512GB microSD card. It's light, solidly constructed, comes with a pen and a case, and has a bright screen with a good refresh rate. The battery is large and supports fast charging although I wish a power wart was included. The processor isn't bleeding edge technology but is plenty fast enough for my use case. Also, it's only going to receive OS upgrades up to Android 17 but 4 years of security updates are included. The device has 2 cameras and 4 speakers but those features don't really move the needle for me. In all the years I've owned tablets, I can't recall ever using one to take a photo or capture a video. As for audio, the only time that will come into play is watching an occasional YT video or maybe listening to music. I must mention that there isn't a headphone jack on this tablet. One needs to pair Bluetooth headphones or ear buds to listen to content without using the speakers. All in all, I'd recommend this tablet to those folks with a similar use case as mine. ... show more

Decent for the price

Great screen quality, nice and bright. Brighter then the more expensive model however if your choosing between this and the 12.7 I recommend the 12.7 as it has a better chip. This is still great for internet/YouTube/movies and travel. Maybe light gaming.

I bought the plus and the college version. Both are great and rival the iPad. Caution when setting up for the first time, Lenovo installs a bunch of bloat ware games and bs. You can simply uninstall each as they get installed but it’s a pain and quite rude if you ask me. No one wants candy shock zombie tower defense. The actual hardware and OS is top notch. Also I got a bt mouse and the keyboard case (sold separately) and pc mode works very well, I haven’t opened my laptop since setting this up. Pro tip: Get a screen protector and put it on before you even touch the screen or turn it on, you will not have any bubbles or dust particles and it’s the best chance you’ll get for a clean application ... show more

I read the reviews before I bought this item. I compared it with other Lenovo products. And I'm so happy I picked this one out of all of them. I do like the Lenovo products anyhow. 5 to 6 years ago I bought two used yoga tabs One 8 in the other 10. That's a good long time to have a tablet last.
