  • Newest Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 2-in-1 Laptop in Abyss Blue 13.3 Intel Core i3-1115G4 (Renewed)
Arrived in like-new packaging, and Chromebook looked new, and fully charged. I had to do a quick Chrome version update, but, the processor speed helped make that a quick process. I was able to jump right on, and start setting up my profile. With intermittent use over my 4-day Memorial Day weekend, it's still on the initial charge; down to about 1/4 charge left. The graphics processor is definitely fast enough to watch YouTube videos in HD (720p), and stream movies. It came with quite a few of the usual Google apps installed, but was able quickly download my other favorite apps I use day-to day on my Samsung smartphone. I chose to pay a little more for the 13-inch screen over the 11-inch, which makes it better to use as a laptop, however, it does make it a bit bulky and heavier to use as a tablet. If you're looking for more of a tablet, then maybe the 11-inch might be better for that purpose, IMO. For, me, I just went back to college, and needed something similar to a laptop, but lighter than my old heavy and bulky ASUS laptop, without taking out a 2nd mortgage. In general, I was a bit weary of buying something "renewed", but it comes with a limited warranty, and it looks and acts like a brand new one. I am very impressed, and would definitely recommend this one. ... show more

  • Received version with AZERTY keyboard and no fingerprint sensor
I purchased the refurbished Ryzen 5 128GB SSD 8GB RAM version from "ShopAmerica (SN Recorded)" and received a version of this chromebook with an AZERTY keyboard that also didn't have a fingerprint sensor. This was clearly an issue the refurbisher "hub x" was aware of, as they included a sticker sheet of qwerty stickers so you can stick them over the keys. This does not address the issue as the key shapes and layout differ greatly. For example, the enter key is extra large which means the symbol keys on the right are narrower. In addition, the left shift key is half size and there's a <> key in the right half. These issues are not fixable with stickers or keyboard layout selection. To add insult to injury, the stickers are generic and are not the right size for the narrower symbol keys, and they also block the keyboard backlight so they keys won't light up anymore. In addition, the device didn't boot to the setup screen, meaning it wasn't fully powerwashed. There is no indication of any of this in the product images and description, so I will have to return the device unfortunately. ... show more

  • Really good, but could be better.
This is my 2 week review after using it pretty regularly for gaming and web dev. Likes: 1. Fast - This device loads, runs applications and surfs the web extremely fast. I purchased it mainly to rdp into my mac with a broken monitor. it works well for that. 2. gaming - it plays some android games and all the emulators I've tried very well. It even runs dolphin at higher resolutions!! mucho gusto. It also streams xbox, geforce now and psn games very well with the wifi6 card. it all looks great on the 1080 screen. 3. Android Apps - Love the fact you can run Android apps. I can text using google voice, check my banking, pay my bills all through the apps I know and love. Also, I found a decent developer application that I can code and save to the server. Pretty much anything I need in this device.... pretty much. 4. Battery Life! I had a steroided msi rtx 2050 gaming computer that seemed to only last an hour or two. on top of that, the charger was huge! this thing lasts for multiple hour long gaming or dev sessions! pretty awesome. Dislikes 1. It doesn't play all Android games. I would love to play Diablo Immortal and Bloodstained on this device. it has the horsepower, but for some reason, doesn't work. Probably my biggest complaint. I really don't want to have to guess if the game is going to work or not before I buy it. I thought DI and BS would work as they are on the play store. Im pretty sure this is standard chromeOS deficiency (boo) so maybe it'll get fixed. Although, it kind of feels like it's done on purpose. why make a device that does everything we want right? Not good Capitalism. Google still has tablets they need to sell. ... show more

  • Super super happy
I've had windows laptops before and they ended up aspaper weights in the closet. The Chromebook just simply works. I mostly surf the web and play games. But watching a movie was actually very pleasant. I had to download some documents and fill them out and send back. Easily done. I can multitask and go between games, the web, and files without freezing up. So far it has accomplished everything I have put in front of it and in minimal time. The battery seems to last forever and charging is very quick. I would buy this again and have been recommending it to everyone. Simple but reliable. ... show more

  • GREAT Chromebook!!
I have the 2019 Flex 5 13" Chromebook. Excellent little laptop. Fairly fast, easy to use. This new one, however, blows it out of the water. Super fast, lots of storage with a replaceable SSD, if you need more. Battery lasts a good long while. The delivery was fast. Original package with fresh tape the only noticeable change. The Chromebook appears to be brand new, not a single mark anywhere. Highly recommend you buy one. ... show more

  • it was great while it worked.
I loved this little Chromebook. I am not a heavy user of the machine and I take the very best care of my electronics. But, that wasn't good enough. 'One year and 10 days later, it had died a sudden death. It will randomly turn itself on and off. If I get it to turn on, it will go off immediately, soon, or in 10 minutes, there isn't a pattern. I tried all the troubleshooting actions that were recommended. No go. I have had laptops, Chromebooks, and desktops for over 20 years and never had one so pricy or inexpensive for that matter die on me in such a short time. Had I reviewed it before today, I would have said all positive things. But, now I am stuck with a $300 plus piece of junk that won't even stay powered on to try and fix. NO MORE LENOVO FOR ME. I am very disappointed and will share this with anyone that asks me for a recommendation, whick is more often than you'd think. ... show more
