My mom wanted to get rid of her black electric potbelly looking fireplace that looks very dated. She asked if I could mount her 55 inch flat screen, put up shelving and find an electric fireplace that would match well. I found this one with several different colors of flame as well as several colors for the "ice" at the bottom. Well if she wasn't just blown away by the whole project. She was so happy. I think the best part that she liked was the fireplace. The only thing about this fireplace to note is that it is quite heavy. What I ended up doing since none of the holes to mount ended up where a stud was, I ended up finding a stud then measuring on the mounting bracket where it was. Then I drilled an extra hole there and used a 2 inch screw in addition to the 6 plastic sheet rock anchors. This gave it the extra strength I felt was needed to keep it safe. So to the manufacturer, you might want to consider adding holes all the way across for those who do not have drill bits a drill and the additional construction knowledge to make it safer. So yes, over-all I do recommend this fireplace. Thank you.

Udpate...they became very responsive and issued me a full refund We bought this in December of 2022 not even 6 months later it doesn't work and when I contacted customer service their response is to send me a control board to fix myself without them even knowing if that's what's wrong with it
