In the product listing on Amazon, the images and description clearly showed that the binoculars were “Made in Germany,” which was an important factor in my decision to purchase this item. However, upon receiving the product, I noticed that the binoculars I received are labeled as “Made in Portugal” instead. I am quite confused by this discrepancy between the product listing and the actual item I received. Could you please clarify why this happened?     • Sharp and bright in low light conditions.
We are now a 3 birdwatching family so in looking and trying out various binos our third party settled in the 10X40 Noctivids. We currently use an older pair of 8.5X42 Swarovski ELs, and Leica 10X42 Ultravids. The light collecting ability of the new Noctivids are truly amazing. Of course, light fringing is not a problem with any of these binos. The main reason for selecting the Leica Noctivids over the Swarovski NLs was the focusing characteristics. There is a long focusing range on these bins. Field of view is good. Everything is clear to the edge of the field of vision. They are lighter weight than I expected with a very similar weight to my Trinovid 8 x 42.

Fantastic clarity edge to edge. The image seems almost 3D. These will last a lifetime. I compared them in the field to the Swarovski EL and noted almost identical clarity for most of the image, but the Leica had a wider and sharper total field of view.
