  • Fantastic, Well-Crafted LEGO Installment with Fatal glitch
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
This game has been great fun so far and contains the very same lovingly crafted moments of awe and hilarity found in previous LEGO Star Wars installments! I am really looking forward to the DLC packs to come. We are excited to have an FN2187 figure in our collection. I am rating a 4 on this item not to belittle the distributor, but to warn users that a fatal error was found to be present in the game at time of release. In fact, this happened to our playthrough in the first few hours and I thought the XB1 was simply overheating. Wrong (phew)! If you enter a level, and hold down the 'Y' button on your controller in-game, it will produce a character selection menu. From here, you can highlight the red-brick 'Extras' item. However, if you choose to press the 'A' button on this selection before releasing 'Y', your game will crash. The A/V freeze is reminiscent of corrupt game files, but is simply a fatal I/O error. Bear with me: the fact that the extra action (A-button) is not necessary does not protect your game from second players, and/or guests who are unfamiliar with the control set, from completely blowing away your progress via minor button mashing. If you have young people playing this game who are eager to get their control dexterity down, they will be trying all sorts of wierd combos and this is one. I would rather that this error came up after the first major hotfix rather than upon release... ... show more

  • Legos and Starwars... Almost perfect.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
If you are a fan of the Lego Video games you will like this. If you are a fan of both SW and the Lego video games you will really like it. Follows the story line of the movie pretty well and, in the deluxe edition, add adds a few new levels and characters that support the story line and add depth. LOTS of characters and lots of small adventure missions within the game play. Only thing keeping me from a 5-star rating were the bugs/glitches I kept finding. Some of the activating movements (Grapple / Force use) were sporadic and required you to be in a very specific location, one step left/right/fwd/back would cause you to lose the activation icon. Additionally a few of the vehicle races would display on the map as well as the spinning icon on the main screen but wouldn't activate. I did take into consideration that some side-missions had to be complete before others would work but they either shouldn't display on the map or not be visable until ready to play. A few locations would allow your character to get stuck/freeze or fall through the map but this only happened to me two locations. ... show more

  • Lenticular cover and bonus content!
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
I have been playing the lego series of XBOX games for over a decade, and now play them with my children. There is a lot of content. For sure adequate to have a single movie in a game. There are multiple free play spaces (think Mos Eisley Cantina of the first star wars lego). The legos talk like the other later lego games. Still playing through the story mode but this is at the top of Lego XBOX games for me. Would recommend. ... show more

  • I would say this is a solid game with great graphics on the Xbox One
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
This game is very well done, with a solid interpretation of the film it is based upon. Throughout the game there are hundreds of characters to play as, and the full Star Wars galaxy to explore. It takes some work to achieve 100% in this game, even if you are used to playing LEGO games. The game also came with The Empire Strikes Back Character pack, not included with the season pass. As for the extras included in the deluxe edition, they include the season pass, as well a bonus exclusive minifigure of Finn in his stormtrooper armor on Jakku. The season pass grants access to many new things, including character and vehicle packs for the Jedi, the prequel trilogy, Freemaker Adventures, Star Wars: Rebels, and the Clone Wars. As well as this, the season pass also includes 3 level packs: Poe's Quest for Survival, First Order Siege of Takodana and Escape from Starkiller Base. Overall, I would say this is a solid game with great graphics on the Xbox One, and is well worth the extras included in the Deluxe Edition. ... show more

  • Best Lego game yet.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
My kids and I have play almost every Lego game and they just keep getting better! The variety the programmers put into this game really helps to create an enjoyable, different experience than the last Lego game. I usually purchased Lego games for the 360 because I figured "Why pay more, it is a Lego game, how much better can it look?" Well, I purchased this one on Xbox One for the Deluxe Edition and let me tell you- it does look better. The graphics are crisp and clear, the colors pop and you get more environmental details (reflections, fog and the like) that would be missed on the 360. I recommend this game highly for Star Wars fans, Lego fans and those who like to play games with the kids. All the trademark Lego humor is still present and still manages to give you all the right Star Wars feels at the right places. If you have never played a Lego game before, you must be somewhat interested to read these reviews, just pick up the game and have some fun. ... show more

  • Short but with surprises.
Platform For Display: Xbox One Edition: Deluxe
Love the Finn minifigure. I never read the reviews or previews before playing. Didn't need to cause it is Star Wars. What I didn't know was how short the campaign is. I was upset when I completed the game...then I saw the extra things that opened up!! There are side stories to play not in the movies. Kind of like fill in the blanks. Gameplay is a little harder than then older Lego games, but they can be beat eventually. The races were a lot easier than the ones in Lego Dimensions. My complaints are that I wish I could skip some of the cut scenes and text crawls. It's okay for the first time playing that map, but it's painful to sit through then again for the free play. I also go stuck twice due to graphics glitch so I had to reset that map. Argh! We did two player also and it does that split screen thing like the Batman Lego 3. A little confusing at times when playing with younger kids. ... show more
