I got this to replace a battery LED that we use on the refrigerator to light the air fryer. The old unit ate through batteries like crazy. I mounted a magnet on the double sticky tape provided. So far so good. We still struggle a bit to touch the magic spot to turn the thing on just right. Don’t want to toggle through levels very often. This is a convenient light I’ve added to my guest room. My son and daughter-in-law stayed the other night and they found it very convenient to use. I put it on the side of the bed that doesn’t have an outlet. It’s so much more convenient then the tall light pole that I had there. I attached it to the side of a cd tower stand that I had repurposed as a mini curio/night stand. My daughter-in-law likes the fact she was able to have control of a light on her side of the bed. I also liked that I was able to get rid of an unstable light pole. PS - another pro to this product is that it can act as an emergency light when the power goes out (just be sure to keep its charge up to date) ... show more

    • For old eyes, not bright enough for reading; good for mood lighting or closets

A few of these lights around the room would be good for mood lighting. There are three colors (a blue, a cream, and a white) and three levels of brightness. It would probably be good in a closet. It did not do what I wanted, at least it was not bright enough for my old eyes. If you have 30 year old eyes, it might just work as a reading light. If I hold it in my hand a foot or two from my book, it is bright enough; but if I hold it over my shoulder where it would go on the wall (my chair is against the wall), the light would be too diffuse to read by. I checked the brightness against an LED flashlight in a darkened room. This light produced a broad beam like a flood light; the flashlight a narrow beam, like a spotlight on a singer. Held the same distance away, the flashlight could be seen brighter within the beam of this light. The magnet for sure seem strong enough to hold it to its holder. I did not put it up on the wall for fear I would not be able to remove the 3M tape (which holds the mounting holder), without damaging my woodwork finish or pulling the plaster off the wall. The instructions say to hold the 3M sticker on a smooth wall for one minute, then you can use it after 24 hours. Seems sturdy. Magnet is strong and should hold it well to the wall. Inside a box is this light set, including the light, the mount, the charging cable and a manual. I got the white one, feels solid, not flimsy at all. It came with no charge, so I needed to charge it first. The magnet is strong, it can certainly rotate around while securely sticking to the mount. And it includes an extra piece of sticky, so you can reattach the mount when need to. I don't see it as being used in bed rooms of established household, however, they are good at the bed side for dorm room, above wall arts and etc. Nice little gadget to have.     • A decent light with a few quirks.
Color: White
This light is attractive and sufficiently bright for reading at a distance of about three feet. As noted in the description, it's mounted using an adhesive strip. I have not determined a final location so I can't speak to how well the adhesive works, but the magnetic ball mount allows easy adjustment and holds the light in position adequately well. The light does have a few quirks though. First, it has a USB-C socket for charging, but it only operates with 5V chargers, so low powered USB-A chargers are the only ones that work. It simply doesn't recognize higher powered USB-C chargers. This is noted in the instructions and it comes with a USB-A to USB-C cord. Second, the switch is just a sensitive spot in the center of the back panel. Touching the spot doesn't generally get a reaction, tapping it lightly does as does swiping across it. Swiping is probably the best approach as it won't disturb the aiming of the light. The last quirk is that the switch steps through lighting levels sequentially; off-low-medium-bright-off. So if you are reading in bed on the low setting, you'll have to cycle through medium and high before it shuts off. Update - After I used the adhesive to mount this light on a wall, I found that ball mount was a bit light on the friction needed to keep it adjusted where I wanted. This reading light is a great design. It charges through a provided USB cable. It is touch operated and the light is adjustable. It is super easy to mount. I also like the texture of the light itself because it feels silicone coated. It provides bright light which can be easily dimmed if desired. It is attached to the mounting bracket through a magnetic ball. The bracket is attached to the wall through the use of double-sided adhesive. When it is time to recharge, simply pull the light from the mounting bracket and plug it into the USB cable. I recommend this efficient reading light. ... show more
