I have a few of these now and we love them! They are compact, lightweight, waterproof, and rechargeable with the built in solar panel on the top or through the USB cord provided. They are super bright with multiple brightness settings to use as a lantern or as a flashlight. The handled doubles as a clip to hang it if wanted or can be used on a table. These are great to have on hand for emergencies or to use in your camping gear. The battery life is great too! A full charge has yielded multiple evenings at the campground without needing a recharge. I have another model like this that has a crank to charge up the unit if AC power wasn't available. Had to crank for 10 minutes to get about one minute of light so I was happy to see a solar option on this light. Should work great when camping to let it charge throughout the day. I like that i can have a bright or dim spot light, flood light or red light. Nice and compact unit is easy to bring anywhere and lasts a long time on a full charge, ... show more

I saw a repair man crawl under my house using a large solar light to take with him and that is when I knew what a good idea something like that was to have around. I must confess, I didn't look at all of the pictures in the listing for this and I missed the views showing the actual size which is similar to hockey puck. I had the idea that this was much bigger. Never-the-less, I took it into a very large pitch black closet and turned it on. The whole room lit up just as if I had turned on the ceiling lamp. There was no circle of light like a flashlight makes. The entire room was lit. The fact that this tiny thing can create so much light makes it even better. It also has varied brightness levels you can adjust just by pressing the button. Simple to use. Excellent for handsfree working in the dark. Eliminates a need for a flashlight. The lamp works great. The included carry clip allows me to clip it to various tent structures - both inside and outside. I have not used the solar panel yet, but I expect it will work well in the summer. The brightness options allow for different lengths of time of usage but I used it on the maximum setting as I had backup batteries to recharge this light if needed.
