Not sure why some people could not get them to work with the app and Alexa. I had *zero* problems. Setup is quick and simple. Just download the app, set your phone's wifi to 2.4Mhz, add device, choose "Lighting," "Light Source (BLE+Wi-Fi)," and follow the instructions while the bulb is blinking. Add the "Smart Life" skill to Alexa and, voilà, it should work seamlessly. Tech is confusing to some people and that might explain the negative reviews. Bulb construction is good and the color temperature, color, and scene functions work exactly as expected. Can't ask for more. Time will tell if they're long-lasting. If I experience any problems, I will update this review. These bulbs are a great value and I highly recommend them. ... show more

I had initially returned these because I couldn't connect to my Wifi. However, once I contacted my internet provider, they told me how to separate the 2.4 ghz from the 5 ghz and I was able to connect with no problems. I love the fact that I can control them with my Alexa and also with the app when I'm away from home. I have three in my living room and was able to group them easily to control all at once. I found the brightness to be excellent and I can definitely recommend these bulbs. The capabilities, when paired with the smart plug, are just as described and easy to set up if you’re familiar with the smart plug. Once I got these to connect, they work great! My router is compatible with both 2.4Ghz wifi and 5Ghz wifi so I had to make sure my phone was connected to my network name that used the 2.4Ghz signal. I would rather eat chalk than deal with anything even remotely connected to technology. However, these light bulbs were a pleasant exception! I don’t know how often I shall use the color feature, but the vividness of the options is stunning! If you want a red room, a red room you shall have! My bathroom is done in green tile. For fun, I changed the light bulb to a green which matched. It was . . . well . . . It was a lot of green!! I’m buying more for every light socket I have! ... show more
