This is a nice table light. It is easy to adjust and works nice as a low light source for close reading or ambience in the room. It is easy to set up. The gooseneck makes the lamp adjustable and very flexible which gives me the ability to direct the light in different places. the lamp is so small and easy to move to various places throughout the house as needed. The rotary knob for dimming is so convenient to get the right light that you need. The product also comes with a great energy saving light bulb. The bulb provides a warm light which also helps to protect your eyes. It is also very well put together. Crafted from premium resin plastic, the lampshade effectively diffuses light, ensuring a comfortable experience for your eyes. So I got this lamp for next to my chair in the living room, but it didn’t work at all for that purpose. The lamp shade didn’t dim it enough for it not to be too bright at any level for that room and the three way dimming feature was a bit annoying - you turn it on and it’s low, then you turn the knob and it turns off, then you turn it again and it’s medium, then turn again and it’s off, etc. And it’s not quite turning it on and off. And I couldn’t get the neck to bend right for the space. BUT I put in my office and straightened the neck up and it’s like a little standing lamp on my table and I LOVE it! It’s exactly what I needed for Teams video calls when it’s still dark out. I am on the West coast and work East coast hours, so morning Teams calls mean it’s still dark and I hadn’t been able to find a good light to light up the area so my video looked okay, but this did it for me! So despite some quirks with the lamp, it’s working great for me after I tried a couple different uses first.

What I liked: How sturdy it is. It did not tip over even with the gooseneck at odd and way out angles to test it. I like that it is a plug in lamp. That decreases my "dirty electricity" exposure while it is on my desk. The bulb is included and it is the smart bulb that allows for the 3 variations in light intensity Its an LED so it should last a long time. Its a frosted bulb and frosted plastic shade so I like the diffused but bright enough light! EASY to get from well packaged to actual use (3 minutes total) The high quality plastic shade keeps the lamp from being top heavy, so it stays put where I set it What I dont know if its a hassle/dont like or it will be fine.. just different: The switch is low, off, medium, off, high, off. So lots of turning the switch to get to high light. Im just not used to it. I dont think it will be a negative though. THe safety sticker is on the top of the lamp, VERY visible location.. takes away some beauty. Surely this could be put somewhere else, like on the bottom of the lamp or something.. This lamp is not super small, so would work best on a Non-small desk. I have a tiny desk and this was simply too big for my space. Would be great on a large college size desk, or wide open desk space.

I selected this lamp because my floor torch style lamp with an attached goosneck got too wobbly. I used the gooseneck more oftan than the torch, so this made for a better replacement. I don't nececsarily need the dimmable settings, but they are a nice addition. I like a nice pure white bulb when writing, so I used by own. The gooseneck is also nice directing a little extra light for Zooms. I don't like using the Zoom setting that adds a dditional light during some parts of the day because it can look inconsistent on a video. This allows me to direct as littl eor as much light towards my direction or flip chart. This come completely unassembled with the exception of the neck, base, and plug. It's simble to put together. The only thing I don't like about the lamp is the knob. I prerfer one cleck on and off. It's a good desk or task light. Nothing really to complain about. It does what it says and is a good value.

I easily unpacked and assembled the lamp. I was dissapointed that it is not dimmable. I tried another bulb that I know is dimmable and it would not dim. I have to conclude the problem is with the lamp. It still fits my need to a bedside nonreading lamp so I'll keep it for that. If you need a lamp that dims, do not buy this one.
