I love this cool book light! I wish something like this was around when I was a kid, hiding under the covers with the giant family flashlight, trying my best to read without getting caught after lights out. lol. This is very lightweight and is easy to hold along with a book. Yes, it is a set size that may not be the exact size of the book you are holding, but I've not found that bothersome enough to even notice. The light it puts out is soft and easy on the eyes and does not bother my husband sleeping next to me. Though it's lightweight, it's also sturdy and unless you were to drop it on the corner of the light on a tile floor or roll over it in bed in the middle of the night, I think this should easily last for years. Even traveling. It's also perfect as a low light night light - just bright enough to light the way back to the bed without being obnoxious or bright like a flashlight or phone light. Very functional as your bedside companion! It comes already charged and includes the power cord as well as a nice little cloth to keep the screen clean. I consider this worth the price and will likely buy another as a gift for my bookworm niece.

Great Nighttime Reading Light—Just Wish It Were a Bit Bigger

I really like this reading lamp. It’s smaller than I expected, but it still gets the job done. I read at night and usually use a neck light or glasses with built-in lights, but those brighten the whole room—which isn’t ideal since our 10-month-old sleeps in our room. This lamp is a much better option because the light is soft, focused, and doesn’t disturb anyone. The acrylic panel spreads the light evenly across the page, and the text is easy to read through it. The design is clean and sleek, and I really appreciate the built-in timer feature. It also comes with a charger and a cleaning cloth, which is a nice touch. Overall, this is a great little reading light for nighttime use. I just wish the panel were slightly bigger, but even with the smaller size, it works really well and does exactly what I need.

Perfect Reading Light — Adjustable, Eye-Friendly, and Surprisingly Smart!

I’m so impressed with this little reading light! It has all the features I didn’t know I needed. The three adjustable color temperatures are perfect—bright white for studying, a soft neutral tone for everyday reading, and a warm 3000K glow that’s ideal for winding down at night. It makes late-night reading so much more comfortable and really helps reduce eye strain. The stepless dimming is incredibly smooth. I love that you can fine-tune the brightness just by holding down the power button, and the memory function is a lifesaver. It turns back on exactly how I left it, which is great when I don’t want to wake anyone with sudden bright light. One of my favorite features is the 1–99 minute timer. It’s perfect for bedtime reading—no more falling asleep with the light on or draining the battery overnight. Just set the timer with the plus/minus buttons and relax. The light itself is very lightweight and portable, making it easy to use in bed or even use as a small night light. The high color rendering really shows the true colors on the page, and the buttons are super easy to understand. It’s definitely user-friendly enough for both kids and older adults. Interesting concept, but not well thought-out or executed.

This product seemed like a cool idea, but I’m not sure it is actually very useful in any practical way. Flawed lighting leaves spots and distinct shadows, and unlit areas of the lighted plastic draw one’s attention to them immediately, so using it simply as a lighted decoration doesn’t really work well. It really needs a layer of frosted material right in front of the individual LEDs to soften and diffuse that light. Using it to light up a book is not very ergonomically comfortable unless your book is quite small and both items are lying flat on a surface, else you have to grip it and keep moving it between pages, from left page to right page, while you’re reading. Impractical, at best. With a paperback, very difficult to use. The 3 different color tones are distinct enough to suit any preferences. However, the oddest feature is the timer. One can set it in single minute increments down from 100, which seems a bit excessive in terms of the need for level of detail. “I want this to turn off in exactly 72 minutes.” I would think a few selections (5, 30, 60 minutes) would suffice for most users. As it is, if you want a low number, it's a lot of presses, or a long hold, to count down from 100. Interesting concept, but not well thought-out or executed with visual quality and usability in mind.
