  • The Best Bang for the Buck E-Bike
Wow, I am impressed. I am an electric unicycle owner and I owned a Ninja 650 Motorcycle. I sold my Ninja 650 to buy an E-Bike. I was ready to spend $3000 on a good E-Bike. I searched high and low for the pinnacle of bikes in this price range. I can't believe I decided to go with an $950 E-Bike. I landed on this bike for one thing. Weight. This bike weighs 45 lbs. My pedal mountain bike weighs 35 lbs., 45 lbs. is a manageable weight. I can push it up the stairs in my apartment. I can fold it and fit it on the back seat of my 2018 Subaru WRX. 20 mph. is surprisingly fast. I didn't want to wear a helmet while riding this, but it is just too fast. Even for me someone who is familiar with lightly mountain biking. I love that I don't need a license to ride this. I love that it requires nearly zero maintenance compared to a motorcycle. I love that it is quite. It goes about 10 miles in 38 Minutes with my 240 lbs. on it. I ride it with the throttle pinned. I pedal sometimes for extra speed and fun. This is better than my motorcycle and safer than my electric unicycle. I love that I can take it with me in the safety of my car. I might consider getting a second battery. But to be honest I am usually pretty tired after the battery runs out. I can't really imagine going for a second run. The breaks work well enough to lock up the wheels. This bike checked all my boxes and I had a lot of boxes to check. Heck I wasn't even considering folding bikes and now I am glad I did. I also think this bike is very stylish, which is important to me. I am a designer and I want to look cool. So many E-Bikes look like they are straight out of a Dr. Seuss book. I upgraded my bikes handlebars with the FX BMX Bundle from DavidBrandNew. It looks so sweet now. The first picture shows the amazing transformation. ... show more

  • Exactly what is advertised.
Color: Arctic White
Being my fist electric bike I only have the brief so light and comtime I rode my sons upscale model but that being aside it’s a great little bike. We travel in a rv for vacation in the summer and these will be a perfect companion being so light and compact. No they are not travel bikes nor have the range of the bigger models but it is a quality bike and does exactly what’s is supposed to which is shorter trips and puttering around the camp grounds. Assist 4 is about as high as u can pedal which is 16 mph which is good on that size tire and plenty fast for this bike. Assembly is super fast and easy power is great getting up to assist speed and not sure on battery life yet but all in all very satisfied with purchase and price. Now I need to get some carrying racks for groceries and wood. Plus a water bottle holder would have been nice as standard. ... show more

  • Excellent Value for Money and a great choice for commuters
Color: Arctic White
I've done a little under 700 miles on this and I use this to commute. Gotta say, it's probably the best $800 I've spent in a long time. The battery life is great, pretty sturdy and reliable, all around. Lectric's own range expectations were pretty accurate. I do kind of wish this shipped with a slightly bigger battery, but at that price, I can't complain. The only thing I would say if you were thinking of getting this bike is to go for a comfier seat. It gets pretty sore after a while. ... show more

  • NOT suitable for a child! Best for Adult. Fat tire. Bike path. Use.
Color: Arctic White
Update… After first ride.… Very pleasant ride. Can ride with or without pedal input. Trivial to use controls and feedback. Previous notes… I’m an adult and going to capture my first impressions. Later, I’ll return to finish this review. It comes in a sturdy, large box. The package weighs ~50lbs. It has handles in the box (good thing) but they’re weird. They’re one per side and separated as if to encourage two people to carry it. The box is most a “drag it around” thing when it comes to one person. Too heavy to lift outright (unless you’re last name is Schwarzenegger). Everything you need is in the box although the packaging requires some plastic tie capable snips to work. The manual, while complete and well intended, was clearly authored by someone would knows the bike in great detail. It doesn’t assume that the new owner “doesn’t know jack … doesn’t work for Lectric, Inc.” It should. -1 chits for that. It could REALLY use a page or two with idiot-proof, first 5 minutes, guidance. At the end of the day, it’s a bike, so it’s not that hard to figure out (the key has some serious design issues but some deeper digging in the manual sets that dust). The battery in mine came uncharged (good, technically) and fully inserted (it’s packed well) but, if my experience is any indication, the bike is not capable of “booting“ either when under charge or when the battery is in its “as delivered” state (the manual doesn’t indicate any of this). After following some first ride instructions, I couldn’t get the bike’s lcd to boot (within a few minutes when connected to the 110v wall/charger and undergoing a charge). I (had not removed the battery) and thought perhaps the battery had some plastic cutoff or some such so, after ruling out that I was using the on/off key correctly, I removed the battery outright and set it aside to charge. After waiting a few hours the charger turned green indicating the battery was charged. I installed the battery (which for a first timer is a total pain in the butt requiring that one wrestle with the bike fold mechanism, the battery and gravity … the battery just “slides/falls out” when unlocked … so the reverse is a pain in the butt … it’ll probably grow on me with time but for now another -1 chit). Folding / battery “seriously?!?” effect aside, it’s trivial to setup the bike. Any adult can deal with the bike itself w/o loosing any brain cells. The key is completely unlabeled and its use must be a) looked up in the manual and b) remembered over time. It’s a 3 position switch with “unlock/lock,” ”off,” and “on”. Unlock keeps the battery in place… just then it hit me. Installing the battery w/o the key at the ready is what had me fighting gravity. Next time, it should be easier as I’ll have the key at the ready (a simple battery handle, snap-clip would be a way better design but whatever). off turns the bike off (electrically). on does, you guess it, on electrically. When the bike is on, you cannot remove the key. This is good, I guess, since the key faces DOWN and is annoyingly, located behind a cable assembly just forward of the pedal bearings. Dirt in this area is going to be a problem (this is NOT a Mountain Bike substitute!). It’s kind of sold as a BMX substitute and I can’t really see that happening either (maybe a little). It’s more of a useful, bike path, fat tire kind of thing (which is my use so that’s good). You cannot get the battery wet (w/o risking fire and what not). So, there’s that. A few design issues aside, it’s built VERY well. Sturdy to a fault. The LCD panel looks like it’ll live a short life for those that fall or “dump” the bike much. I don’t intend to push on that bubble, so it should work for me. It’s easy enough to fold, albeit rather heavy when doing so. It has a handle welded to the frame so one can carry it once folded up. ... show more
