My older welding jacket is simply too hot to work in the Summer sun. The back on this is cut out, so your sweat has somewhere to dissipate. It makes it a bit more of a challenge putting it on, but it is worth it. If a breeze is coming from behind you, which is helpful when welding, it is quite comfortable. I think it is well constructed, and offers full-frontal protections (including neck). I wear a 3x in most coats and clothing. Sleeve length is often a problem. This didn't offer up any surprises. I'm happy with the purchase.

These leathers fit nice and large according to your body size. It’s soft leather, very well designed and appears durable for whatever welding jobs are thrown at you. A 2 thumbs up for these!!!

Seems to be a decent heavy duty cape. Only downside is when I extend my arms straight out. The buttons on the side holding the cape in place come undone. Will update after a month of usage.

I’m using this jacket paired with the leggings for welding and has definitely given me plenty of protection . Jackets pretty cool being able to remove the lower section . I’d probably pick a size bigger than u normally would . At least I wish I would have . For the money I doubt u can find better .

The first thing my welding instructor commented on is that this is a good jacket but it does not protect the whole upper body. He recommended that I get a welding jacket that would cover my back as well. So, the jacket (apron) design is a big disadvantage. After wearing it twice in welding classes, I notice the buttons on the chest, nearing the armpit would unbutton themselves if I moved a lot. I am concerned about this and decided to return this jacket because it could expose some chest areas without me becoming aware of it. I think it should be designed as a whole piece without the strange buttoning system.

I weld a lot for my job and needed a jacket that wasn't as heavy as my full jacket for the summer. I got a medium and the sleeves were a little long for me, but folded them and the snaps work just fine. I love the jacket and as long as it lasts, I plan to use it.
