I really needed a larger stock pot and wanted pans with lids but these were so nice I had a hard time returning them. Demeyere won out over these after all though. I love that there are no rivets in the Demeyere and so much more. I would buy Le Creuset if I didn't need the larger pot and want a glass lid on a skillet. They are super heat resistant. You don’t even need to put it at high for it to get hot. The value is worth your money. I haven’t had any scratching yet and I’ve used them about almost everyday since I got them. It’s really easy to cook on. Easy to clean !

I purchased the last set of pots/pans I will ever need. Beautiful and functional. Make sure you do some research about use and care of stainless steel pans if you haven’t used them before. And buy a can of Barkeepers.

All 3 photos attached to my review are from 1 or 2 uses of each of 3 of the pieces that come with this 10-piece set of Tri-Ply stainless steel Lecreuset cookware. I did everything that the manual says to the letter... I started out by gently heating each pot, adding vegetable oil, letting it coat the bottom surface, then I turned the heat off, wiped the oil up the sides of each hot pan, and then let the whole thing cool off before wiping it down fully. And only then did I try cooking with these. When cooking, I only used medium or low heat on a gas range, and after cooking I hand-washed and used only the soft side of a sponge to wash them. In the case of the large pot, I only used it twice, and both times I cooked pasta without adding salt. After just the first use, a dark rim of discoloration appeared at the water line. After the second use and hand-washing (and also manually toweling dry right after washing), I took the photo you see here. You can see lots of discoloration throughout the walls and bottom of the pan, and obvious white signs of pitting. I only used the medium saucepan twice. The first time, I used it to boil water. I did not see any obvious signs of wear after the first use. The second use, I boiled unsalted, unroasted cashews for only 20 minutes on medium heat. I stirred the cashews with a large wooden spoon, and after cooking I hand-washed the pot with the soft side of a sponge and hand-dried it with a towel. Despite this white-glove care, the pot looks stained, pitted, scuffed, and scratched. I question the materials used to fabricate these pots and pans. How could the metal appear so scuffed in response to cashews and a wooden spoon??? I just can't believe the concerning signs after only 1-2 uses, and it makes me seriously concerned for the materials being used. The spots are not water spots, and the marbled pattern of discoloration on the large pot is like no chromium-oxide discoloration I've ever seen before. I am so disappointed in Le Creuset for this. These set is expensive, and I have old stainless no-name pans from 10 years ago that held up better for all 10 of those years than these pans have in just 2 uses. I reached out directly to Le Creuset, but their auto-response informed me that they would likely get back to me in 2-10 days due to the high inquiry volume. For this reason, I am going to submit a return while I still can. I don't need to hear back from Le Creuset with an explanation. This makes me really cynical about my ability to even know anymore what is safe and reliable, and I think that I'll be passing on their cast-iron cookware as well in the future. I LOVE my enameled, cast-iron Le Creuset dutch oven and frying pan, but maybe I just got lucky... maybe I got those items before whatever changed at Le Creuset to make them rethink their quality standards. ... show more
