I originally purchased different brand for my kids as a doodle toy. Then I decided it would be nice to have on my desk for quick daily todo’s. When it arrived the “erase button” didn’t work. I thought it was either defective or the battery needed replacement. I submitted a return replacement because the battery is not ready to change. You need a very small screw driver to replace the battery. Unfortunately the screwdriver is not included. Fortunately the one I bought for my kids did include a screwdriver. It turns out the battery just needed to be adjusted. I decided to keep the original. Just out of curiosity I opened the replacement when it arrived and it has the same issue. You need to remove the battery and reinsert it for it to work. Overall it’s a nice device and it does what I need it to do. My advice is don’t buy it if you don’t have a small screwdriver. See the picture with the necessary screwdriver next to a cr2016 battery for size reference. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Edit; I lied, when I was throwing away the box it came in, I found the black stretchy String to connect the pen to the pad. So it did totally come with a string thing! Glad it fell out before I tossed the box! Pros; 1.No fuss no mess! 2.easy delete button 3. Screen lock/unlcok 4. Pen locks into place on the top of the board and doesn't fall off! 5.There's a place to lace string to the pen and board so pen doesn't get lost, and it does indeed come with said stretchy string, which is long enough to reach all of the pad and it stretches for that extra fun, (I like to wrap the string around the pen while I talk to clients on the phone) ;D 6. And it's Light weight! CONS; 1. Very light weight, I was afraid my kids would step on it and break it.. my 2 and 5 year old have both indeed stepped on it but it's still okay.. I'll let ya know what happens when I accidentally step on it tho.. 2. You can't erase a small portion of the board, you will have to push the button to delete everything on the board. 2. The screen lock button on the back is pretty cheap like, if I had to guess it'll probably break/stop working at some point, of course I could be wrong, it just seems that way. 3. No it does not glow in the dark but in a normal lit room the board is pretty bright! The brighter the room, the brighter the board. ... show more

Pen is hard to remove. I had to find a styles that I bought a couple of years ago. I'm to afraid to break it trying to remove the pen. Over all I like. I bought it for my job.

I ordered this because my Jot took a dump after years of use. I figured that as long as I’m gonna get a new one it may as well be a little bigger. This one is just right, as we keep it on the side of the frig for notes and shopping lists and such. It arrived looking like it was messed up, but I have a brain so I just pressed the erase button and screen cleared. The only thing I noticed that I could mention is that the instructions mention one model of battery and the battery that came with it was a whole different battery. It worked, but they should really fix that in the instructions just in case someone uses that as a reference when ordering new batteries. I don’t know if the one that came with it was the correct one but it fit and worked. As a tip for some who might find it useful, if you write clearly on it you can snap a photo with your phone/tablet and use character recognition to copy the text. The latest iPhone OS has this built in to the camera/photos app on board. But I’m sure there’s also many other apps available for that too. ... show more

I bought this originally to use as a notepad. It's honestly great for taking notes. Obviously this is a product that you can't keep those notes but to be able to write down ideas and move on by erasing those notes, it functions exactly the way I needed it to for me. It's priced accordingly and honestly is a product probably geared towards children but can actually function outside of that. If I had one of these as a kid growing up, I probably would be a modern-day Picasso. I guess the world will never know. ... show more
