A cheap and affective way to replace old blinds. I love the non spring loaded design, as that's the biggest flaws in old designs and something that fails and makes them useless. These types just stay where you put them just move it gently down or up and no yanking or anything else. The adhesive bit is the weak link with these. I think they just need to source better variants. For some reason the tiny foot of my 3M towel hooks can hold giant damp towels for months yet these can't hold on with several feet of adhesive and a fraction of the weight. So I guess just buy some 3m adhesive tape or something if you get these or plan on using the dry wall mount.

I have one of those unfortunately designed showers that has a window in it. When I bought my place I originally put contact paper on the window so that my neighbors couldn't see directly into the shower and bathroom. Eventually, years later, the contact paper started to crack and wear away. I decided to remove it (not an easy task after it's been stuck on there for many years) and replace it with these no-drill shades. I wanted something that would still let the light in but not be see-through and this is exactly what I was looking for. The frame inside the window is tile since it's in a shower and I didn't want to drill into it, so the adhesive option was perfect. I was a little concerned that the humidity of the shower might mess with the adhesive but it has been in there for many weeks now without issue. I don't anticipate it becoming a problem in the future since it is still strongly attached, but I figure if it does become an issue at some point in the future it would be easy enough to replace the adhesive strip if necessary.

Day 1:In all reality, after reading the brief directions, it took us about 10 min to install. Day 2: the entire shade and bracket fell 12 hours later. Day 3: Installed again using Gorilla duct tape to reinforce the shade. Day 4: Fell after 6 hours. Day 5: Bought Gorilla Two-sided 60lb tape!! Day 6: less than 10 hours later, shade falls with drywall attached to several areas of the tape!! THE SHADE IS TOO HEAVY. I BELIEVE if I could take the shade out of the bracket, tape the bracket first & then insert the shade 24-36 hours later, it might work, but right now I have to fix the drywall. Not what I was expecting to do. Ugh

I was skeptical about the adhesive actually holding up shades. Almost a year later, I can confirm that it does REALLY hold up. I live in CT and we have very hot and humid summers. After I returned from a 12 day trip when it was 98°+ the whole time, these were still holding strong. I recommend using a hair dryer to secure the adhesive (and also to remove it if you need to move.)

Loved the idea of the no-install, but after the blinds falling down with a huge crash 3 times, I realized I needed to use the brackets. As I went to take it down to install them, it took huge chunks of my wall, down to the metal. What a mess. I prepped the wall as suggested and allowed it time to stick before using it. I gave it 2 stars bc it is light blocking and easy to use, but it is needs some work to be able to say it’s truly no-install.
