I am replacing my current blackout roll shades with the blackout blinds. They are nice and dark. They are easy to open and close. These are worth the cost and make the window look really nice!

I love these cellular shades. They add a level of elegance to the room and the flexibility in terms of upkeep/maintenance that other type window shades can't match. The key is to get an accurate measure of your windows that also conforms to the design of these shades. The manufacturer says get exact dimensions, we'll deduct a certain fraction of an inch. But that didn't work for me the first time. I had to return the shades (a different color, not green) because the deduction factor was too little, so the shades were too wide for my windows. Once I understood how they calculated the dimension of the shades, I put in my own deduction factor and ordered a slightly less wider shades. They fit perfectly. Installation was so easy. No messy drilling, dealing with studs, drywall or any of that stuff. Tension mount truly makes it an easy no-drill, no-tools effort.

These were very easy to install with almost no tools necessary. A plastic wrench for final tightening is supplied. They raise up with little effort and pull down just as easily. When they are fully pulled down, it really makes the room dark, even in the brightest daylight. They do an excellent job of blocking out the light. They do however lose one star in their rating for one minor design flaw. When they are fully pulled down, not only do they block the light, but without any vents or gaps in the design like traditional venetian blinds, they block any airflow or breeze that may be coming in the window. Their design is solid, so nothing gets through, even if you want that delightful spring breeze. Yes, they are light enough to be moved by a decent wind, but do you really want them flopping about? I would not buy these particular blinds for my bedroom as I'd want them lowered to keep out the light, but then I lose any breeze. Just something to consider when making the purchase. Other than that, these are nice blinds and install in minutes with little strain or effort.

We purchased one to give it a try. Success. Beyond quick and easy to install. Measurements were precise. Blocks sun/light extremely well. Pulls up/down easily. I am sure we will be ordering a few more. Maybe a little more expensive than others but in my opinion, well worth the cost of no drilling into drywall etc.
