I bought this to replace a torn shade in an irregularly-sized window because I didn't have time to get a new shade cut to size. As a temporary solution, these worked ok. They are easy to cut, but there is no spring mechanism, so the shade must be rolled up and down manually from the bottom edge every time and secured with clips at the bottom. Installation can be challenging, but it effectively blocks the sun and provides complete darkness. Adding extra Velcro tape for the sides would be helpful for an even better experience.

I was looking for something to help keep the sun from heating a room with a west view of the setting sun. These were perfect. Velcro attaches to the wall, attach a sticky backed piece of velcro to curtain, attach velcro curtain to wall. Easy peasy. Fabric is flimsy and light weight, would be simple to cut for sizing. The black facing the exterior makes the window shown with a dark room. You cannot see it is a black out curtain. The gray interior looks like a simple straight gray curtain. I've tried several times to get the Velcro to work. It keeps falling off the wall and the fabric. The whole two days it stayed up, the room was dark. Waste of my money. I'm using the two clips it came with to hold it to the blinds.
